there have been some good pickups as of late too. Portis, samuels, cooley, smoot has play ok, carlos, horton etc etc.
the problem is is that there are still alot of weak points on this team. we have not recoverd from te spurrier or gibbs era yet in one offseason. The guys that were once great players have gotten old and their play dated (springs, washington, jansen, cartwright..etc.) This combined by a lot of youth and inexperience.
We lack a dominant lb, rocky has not been that impressive..and washington while i love the guy is past his prime by a couple years. Look at the age of jansen, kendall, griffin.
Either we need to part ways with these aging guys and completely go youth, or we need to STILL part ways with these guys and save the cap room to bring in more players.
Also i dont know it its a lack of disipline, or whatever but the execution has been poor for a number of years.
I honestly cant put the offensive woes on jason campbell..colt may be a gem in the waiting but lets hold our horses and look at why jason has failed...no protection, poor field position, preidictable play calling and lack of execution and clean routes by the wide recievers.
