I meant to post this right after Sunday's game but it got away from me. Congratulations are in order to coach Zorn. Sunday’s win moved him into a tie for third place for wins by a redskins rookie coach. He is now tied with Vince Lombardi, Otto Graham and Ray Flaherty. The most wins by a rookie redskins head coach is 9 by George Allen in 1971 so coach Zorn is three away from surpassing this record with 5 games left to go.

I think we as fans forget how hard it is to win in the NFL with a new coach but Zorn has done a great job. It is even a tougher when you have never been a head coach in the NFL.

Jason Campbell 1st season wco 3rd year in the league
Games: 11; Wins:7; Losses: 4; TD's: 11; INT's: 3; Yds: 2328; Cmp %: 64.1; RTG: 90.2
Projected over 16 games -
Games: 16; Wins:10; Losses: 6; TD's: 16; INT's: 4; Yds: 3386; Cmp %: 64.1; RTG: 90.2
Joe Montana 3rd season wco 3rd year in the league
Games: 16; Wins:13; Losses: 3; TD's: 19; INT's: 12; Yds: 3565; Cmp %: 63.7; RTG: 88.4
Brett Favre 2nd season wco 3rd year in the league
Games: 16; Wins:9; Losses: 7; TD's: 19; INT's: 24; Yds: 3303; Cmp %: 60.9; RTG: 72.2
The numbers speak for themselves, Campbell is in his first year in the West Coast offense and he is putting up numbers comparable to the greats who played in the system at a later stage in their careers, the reason I chose seasons where they had played in the system awhile was b/c campbell is a 3rd year player and it would be unfair to compare him to rookies.
Great job Jim Zorn...Great job

I agree...congrats to Zorn. When I think our offense is sucking (and let's not kid ourselves, they are) I have to remember that we are 7-4 and most of us never expected this. We can say what we want, but we all want 1 thing on Sunday, a big fat W!

Zorn has done a great job as a first year coach. Better than anyone expected. I think we have a "keeper".

Good numbers there, thanks. It's worth noting that while JC is doing a great job thus far, his numbers would look even better if we had a decent pass-blocking line. Beef up the OL while JC continues to grow in the system and the sky is the limit.
