His comments are somewhere between Lou Holtz and Joe Gibbs.

If he wanted to be honest, he could say something like, "we're better than the Skins in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and for that reason alone, we'll likely pull out a win in a tough road game."

But you'll never get that from a coach. Even the verbose Jim Zorn.

That said, I'll really love to see Eli Manning taste the turf at FedEx a few times.

Yes, I realize this is just coach-speak...defending oneself against a loss and setting up accomplishment after a win, but here is how Tom Coughlin describes the Redskins to the media:

ESPN - Wednesday's Tom Coughlin transcript - NFC East (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfceast/0-5-181/Wednesday-s-Tom-Coughlin-transcript.html)

That seems just a typical PC answer, I'll take the usual blah blah praise for the opponent to stay humble over than if he was arrogant.

Do you ever look back at the last trip to Washington? You were 0-2, people were unhappy. Since that time you have won a Super Bowl.
Coughlin: Not really, no. No, we are trying to look ahead. Obviously we know the history of the rivalry. We know what has occurred. They came right back up here and beat us at the end of the season. So we are aware of all of those situations. And just trying to keep current and look ahead.
