I am finding it very interesting that free agency and even so-called complicated trade contracts are negotiated/re-structered in a matter of days and yet 1st round picks/agents and teams dance around the table for months.
If Winfield and Kearse can agree deals (even if they back out) having determined a market value in a thin market, why can draft choices not do likewise?
Why not just use infalation as a guide against last years' 1st rounders.
I'm sick of the raging ego's of rookies who have proven nothing at this level except that they are a;ready 'professional' negotiaters.
