ESPN - Fitzgerald seventh in Pro Bowl voting - NFL Nation (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation/0-3-387/Fitzgerald-seventh-in-Pro-Bowl-voting.html)
It seems like the "Vote the Redskins Ticket" campaign is working. A Redskins player leads the fan vote at virtually every position. I thought this might be of some interest to people around here. I like that the fans are out voting for our players, but guys like Heyer, Springs, Taylor, and Plackemeier definitely don't deserve to be in the Pro Bowl. On the flip side guys that actually deserve it like Fletcher, Portis, Sellers, Horton, and Samuels all lead by a healthy margin.

Add in Deangelo Hall and he might get in too.

I like the comment on the bottom of the page about Redskins fans. What a hater. I like what I see though. There should have been more burg and gold in the Pro Bowl last year.

That is insanity. I guess that is what happens when DS throws some money at an issue. You can also consider it blow back for the thirteen Cowboys that made the Pro Bowl last year. Hopefully London will finally get the much deserved nod that has eluded him his entire career.

For what it's worth, I only voted for Redskins that I believe are worthy:

Portis
Sellers (FB)
Cooley
Samuels
Moss
Campbell
Fletcher
Rogers
Horton

I feel strongly that it cheapens the honor to vote for an entire "team ticket" the way the FO is marketing fans to do.

Keep in mind the fan voting only accounts for 1/3 of the votes to get players in. The coaches and players have votes for the other 2/3.

See, i'm not of the belief that we should vote our guys in...
all it does is drive up the cost of our own players when we want to resign them and it COULD (not will) foster complacency. I like my guys hungry and motivated. While being motivated and a pro-bowler is NOT mutually exclusive, it is certainly a possibility...

I'm all for Redskins players being in the Pro Bowl, so long as they deserve it. Guys like London Fletcher, C-Po, Santana Moss, and them deserve it. People on other teams are trying to get recognized too, and it's not fair to no recognize them due to homerism.
