My beef is the Redskins played with very little intensity. They played like the old Redskins, not the team from the second game up until the Steelers debacle. The defense has always looked good except for dropped balls that should have been interceptions. But we still have trouble getting the ball into the end zone (obviously!).

this is zorn's first time ever calling the plays and being a head coach.i'm pretty sure there is a large learning curve in there somewhere.this was never gonna work overnight.we'll just have to sit back and patient.skins are a good team, but nowhere close to a great team.that's just not gonna cut it in the NFL.look at it this way,he's started off better than gibbs did,and 12 years later he'd won superbowls with 3 diff qbs.
like tom petty said-"the waiting is the hardest part."

His demeanor was appropriate, given how his offense performed. So, no, I have no reason to think he was ill. Watch the postgame presser. He certainly does not seem ill there, beyond his reasonable disgust at the way his offense just played.

I don't think the play-calling was so bad, Sunra. The short throws occurred as much because of pass pro breakdowns as anything else. You can't throw long if you don't have time. He might have run more, but without time to throw, Dallas was stacking the box. And I think they were trying to open the passing game up a bit against Dallas's secondary. It didn't work, no doubt. But it's not clear that it was strictly play calling. One play where I was dissapointed was throwing on 3rd and short that led to the INT. Otherwise, I think the plays were ok, but we couldn't block long enough to allow them to develop.

Hopefully, Zorn will get it on track. Seattle is a must win, no doubt.

I think just about everyone who cares about the Redskins looked like they were ready to blow chunks the whole game. I know I did.

i totally agree with this statement. i didnt see any intensity, no hunger or energy. no one was really fired up from what i saw

This is something that is so subjective. Watching the game I was impressed with the way guys were flying around on D. There was some good hittin' going on out there.

^^^ yeah in the 1st quarter i noticed our D players were really flying in there to get a lil extra piece of a cowboy ball carrier as he was being brought down. One guy would have the tackle and another 2 would fly in there to give a shoulder as the cowboy was going down.

i also noticed the refs giving portis a hand to help him get up off the ground ALOT. 3 times in one drive i think. nice guys.

go skins!!

I thought our defense played fine, When you can hold an offense with that much scoring potential to 14 points it comes down to our offense making plays and scoring. Zorn's play calling has been going down hill for the past few games. Pretty much ever since the Philly game. I don't know what his deal is, but when I can sit on my couch at home and know what the play is going to be, especially on third and 4th down, I'm pretty sure that the other team is going to figure it out too.

Another thing that I don't understand is why it seems like Jason has to wait so damn long for a play to be called in. It seems like every third down he is waiving his arms up in the air waiting for a freaking play to be called in. Why hasn't the media asked Zorn about any of this? Or anything about his play calling?

Maybe its just me that notices this shit, but if I was seemingly that confused on the sideline I would probably look a little sick too.
