Yea I thought he was finally making baby steps with the team after a very slow start.

Hard to believe I think I didn't read the link but he couldn't of had more than 16/17 games ...something like that. Not much time to really prove yourself in the first year.

I'm watching the Caps work over the Devils now, I think they said Rick Tocchet (gritty bastard) was gonna fill in as HC.

The CAPS are HOT and playing accordingly!

I think Melrose was 5-7-4 during this shortened tenure with the Lightning. 16 games is nowhere near enough time to make or break a coach. I guess Management didn't like Melrose as much as they thought...
