Ah yeah, that is the ticket bud!!! Letting the D win it worked well with Pittsburgh and us not scoring points in Detroit could have been a disaster as we only won by 8. Relying on a defense with a banged up secondary facing a plethora of WRs that Dallas has isn't a very good strategy, more like misplaced hope. Dallas needs to win the game more than us since they are on a nasty slide and need to turn it around now. JC needs to step it up, as well as the other wideouts or we lose the game. Simple as that!!!!!!!!
Have you ever heard of a low-scoring, defensive battle? The fact is that sometimes the defense wins the game for you. And Jason Taylor should be back.
I agree that JC needs to play well. But Santana is hurt. Thrash is not a world-beater at wideout. And the rookies...I hope they step it up, but I wouldn't plan on that since it has not happened before. Cooley needs to have a career day. If he doesn't, then so much for your plan.

Our only hope is that either a.) Dallas is still as bad as they've played lately or b.) they get overconfident with all of our injuries. I just don't see the Redskins winning this one. Well then again, everytime someone says that, they actually show up an win! So bring on the negative comments!!

He has beat coverage on several plays and JC missed him wide open down the field. He will get his chance and I think the coaches need to do a better job of getting him involved in the game.
I'm starting to think this guy is going to be a total 100% bust. We all knew it was a very risky pick to begin with. But when you see other rookie wr's playing well in the WC offense ( Royal and Jackson) you start to wonder. I mean outside of teams he's given us NOTHING. I do agree that the coaches need to do a better job designing plays for him. Just some simple shit like screens.

Unless I'm wrong about the "Two time Pro Bowler"(The infamous TTB) part then no I'm not drunk. When word came that the Skins picked up the TTB instead of bringing back Mason the lot of you said SA would be the perfect fit, that he would teach Portis something. lol. Now you all are saying with out Portis we are doomed. lol. Apparently your faith has wained a bit and the TTB is not the answer. lol. Atleast some of us were looking at a more current player who led the league in preseason. Oh ...thats right led the league in preseason against 2nd and 3rd stringers. lol.
Ya'll can't have it two ways...you can't say the TTB is going to revitalize his career here and then two weeks later say we are doomed if we don't have Portis or Betts.
Where are all the Rock fans who say Rock is a #1 and should be given a chance to run the ball? That he will fill in nicely for Portis and Betts. We have 3 RB on this team and and now a 4th and only Portis is the man? Maybe we should pick up another RB you know ....just in case something happens to Rock.
Couldn't agree with you more. I gave out this scenario a long time ago and recently on the SA thread. What would happen if Betts and God forbid Portis got hurt. But I am not saying anything. We just better hope Rock and TTB have a good game. I dont see it. But hopefully it happens. If not its going to be a long game. But I hope we can pull it out. But TTB and Rock are not the answer and now when disaster strikes people finally realize why we should have kept Mason as the 3rd back. My bad. He only lead the league in rushing in the preseason. Oh and it was against 2nd and 3rd stringers..My bad..Sorry. This guy named Hightower for the Cardinals looked good in preseason too. What happened to him? Preseason is worthless huh. Any bum can lead in rushing in preseason!!..On that note. I hope CP plays. GO SKINS!!
Holy shit!
Someone poured acid in the koolaid.

Well lets not forget those others you have picked out (Royal & Jackson) are playing for an O that has had the WC offense in place for sometime. So they just had to learn their place in the system. We still have an entire offense learning the system and its just natural for the QB in a new system to go with the players he is allready comfortable with. Lets not write him off so soon.
It's too early to be tossing around the bust label. We knew Thomas was on the green side coming in, he's only confirmed that so far.

Campbell Says It's a Must-Win Game for Skins, Too
From Jason La Canfora:
Jason Campbell said he agrees with the Dallas Cowboys on one thing: The game Sunday is a "must-win" for his team, too.
"It's must-win for both teams," said Campbell, sounding like several Dallas players who said they need to win to stay in the playoff hunt. "Something's got to give."
Campbell said that if Clinton Portis does not play, it will make things "different" for the passing game, but that he has confidence in all the running backs.
"We'll all have to step up our game a little more," if Portis can't play, Campbell said.
