Curious as to contract details?
For what it is worth, PFT says it is the same $1 million he would have gotten in Oakland if he had waived the guaranteed bonuses. That works out to a $562,500 rental for seven games. I guess you could look at him as relatively cheap depth if Springs struggles to come back from injury. I guess it could also allow them to push Springs to safety in a pinch (or in the Cobra package) but he was playing very well at corner prior to his injury (and significantly better than Hall). I also don't even see Hall coming right in an getting playing time over Smoot (which is saying something). Hopefully he can return punts and play the good soldier for a couple of months.

This is great. CB depth (springs seems to play 1 out of every 3 games) and he RETURNS PUNTS!

I just read that, thanks. Prorated at 1 million if thats so your math is off a bit. If he can produce, thats a heck of a deal. 'IF'

Adam Schefter of NFL (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) Network reports that cornerback DeAngelo Hall has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins.
We’ve confirmed the news, and we’re told that it’s for the same prorated $1 million salary he would have received if he had stayed in Oakland.
We’re also told that the contract contains a commitment that the Redskins (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) won’t use the franchise tag on Hall in 2009.
His selection of the Redskins resulted in part from the fact he grew up close to Washington, and that he was a Redskins fan while growing up.
Hall spent a lot of time talking with defensive backs (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) coach Jerry Gray, and Hall likes the team’s extensive use of press coverage.
So, in the end, he’ll make the same amount he would have made in Oakland if he’d agreed to waive the injury guarantee applicable to the $16.5 million in 2009 bonus (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) money and salary. And he’ll be an unrestricted free agent after the season.
And he’s playing for a 6-3 team that is competing for a playoff berth.

Well, he returned punts at Tech. He has returned a total of 13 punts in his NFL career (8 in 2005, 5 in 2007) for a total of 123 yards and 0 touchdowns.

Don't want to forget John Clayton...
ESPN - Cornerback DeAngelo Hall agrees to join Washington Redskins with one-year deal (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3688600)
So he's got a week to get coached up...

The Skins had to agree not to put the franchise tag on him next season. Expecting big things from himself is'nt he?

I voted yes in the poll, but now that he is coming here, I hope he doesn't bring down the locker room. Our dbs are a tight group, don't want him to disrupt that.
Any word on how we are making room for him??

I really don't like this move. Total headcase and we all know he's good for a few 15 yard personal fouls or unsportsmanlike conduct's. But at least the FO didn't break the bank for this cancer.

Great I hope he earns a big fat contract from someone for his play in the next 7 + games :)
