I see Pittsburgh being so concerned with containing Moss that Cooley has a big game this week (85 yards / 1 TD). Regardless of our ability to rush the passer with 4, our steller run D keyed by Fletcher and McIntosh will force the Steelers into numerous 3rd and long situations where Blache will dial up the heat against a shaky Pittsburgh O-line. Philly blitzed them relentlessly, and pounded Roethlisberger into submission. I see much the same here - no mercy.

Phillys defense line is alot better at getting to the QB by themselves without the blitz then ours so far. That is what makes their blitzing so effective. We have to blitz to try and get a sack and so far our blitzes haven't been that productive.
I think they will emphasis stopping Portis and making Campbell try and beat them. They will bring alot of pressure. The way we have been playing the past couple of weeks won't get it done against a quality team and I think Pitt will pull out with a victory.

The last time we played the "best" D in football I believe it was Jacksonville and we absolutely took it to them.
Much like we play down to our opponent, I think we'll play up to our D. While my brain is telling me it'll be close, my heart is saying it's a shootout with the Skins coming out on top: 35-21.

I dunno, this is a tired, beat up Redskins team. They simply have not played up to the level of their games against Dallas and Philly - I think those games took a lot out of them emotionally and that they are now struggling to stave off mental and physical exhaustion.
Ben screws up when pressured, we don't pressure.
Our running game is our strength, but defending it is their's. I think that's the key in that they are more likely to be stoked to stop us and that we may just not have enough left in the tank to take them.
Steelers 20, Skins 14.
6-3 into the bye is nothing to be ashamed of and puts us in good shape for the final push after a much needed rest.

Mal, you're drinking the Koolaid. Skins haven't scored that much all season. This is a pretty go D we are up against.

Our D line couldn't pressure a crack head into smoking right now.
LMAO! I think they have a big game this week cause Pitt's line sucks. This is a game we can win and win with our defense leading the way.

Trent Cole is their best pass rusher, and he is no better than Andre Carter. Chris Samuels rendered Cole a NON-FACTOR when we played them in Philly. Jim Johnson rushes 5, and sometimes 6, as much as any D-coordinator in the league - that is the biggest reason that they get to the QB. I'm not saying that we should go blitz happy, but I'd like to see Blache pick his spots, especially if he shuts down the Pittsburgh running attack and forces 3rd and long situations.

Actually Darren Howard and Juqua Parker both have 4.5 sacks each and Trent Cole has 3. That is 12 just among those 3 which is 2 more then our whole team.

After playing at 1:00 this past Sunday and not unitl 8:30 next Monday, I'm very glad our guys get an extra day and half compared to if we played Pitt at 1:00 this coming Sunday. Every second of rest is important at this point.

If we can get to Ben it will be the Skins for sure. We did have OK pressure on Orlovsky in Detroit, but just couldn't get a hold of the guy. I have to give the Lions O line credit for that, they never let our guys get seperation from them to grab their QB. We smack Big Ben a few times and he might get knocked out of the game with that shoulder of his. Parker isn't going to do much damage his first week back. Even before his injury he wasn't in last season's form anyway.
