ESPN - Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes faces marijuana charge (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3661283)
He had 3 blunts and most likely just finished one because cops smelled "burning marijuana". He will most likely play this weekend against NYG but maybe not against us next Monday night.

Ah, that would be outstanding.
I know people talk about beating people at full strength, but I'll take a win any day of the week.

Holmes is definitely their big play WR, and would be a big loss for the Steelers if Goodell does the right thing and suspends him. I agree with the original post that the hammer will probably come down next week, so that would be good news for the Skins.
How dumb to you have to be to drive around town puffing on blunts? If you're gonna do that stuff, which let's face it this isn't uncommon among athletes along with drinking, at least be smart and do it in the privacy of your own home.

Doesn't the NFL need a guilty conviction before they can start holding guys out of games?

He has been arrested twice since coming into the league. Both times the charges were dropped for one reason or another. I think Goodell gives him a 4 gamer starting with us. I am still gonna root for him and the rest of the Steelers this weekend, we could use the help.

lol nice.
On a side note, we should all be really appreciative of Gibbs, and the job he did placing an emphasis on character first. I strongly believe that is a reason why we have a group of such good guys who hopefully wont forget that and end up as NFL headlines. I really respect Gibbs for putting emphasis on these characteristics even when it was not demanded by the NFL front office. It seems like the Redskins have a headstart in that avenue because of the work of Gibbs.

Holmes hasn't done squat this year. I couldn't care less if he plays against us or not. We've shut down much better WRs this year.
That said, he's a dumbass. I was busted under similar circumstances when I was 16 -- not twenty-something. You'd think he would know better now that he's an "adult".

I do think it puts a dent in their offense a bit but doesn't totally destroy Pitts game plan.
