Shit.

How the hell is any defense supposed to stop a tandem of T.O. and Roy Williams when you've got guys like Crayton, Austin and Witten still around?

We can mock it all we want, but I don't see how you can deny that this creates serious matchup problems for ANY defense.

Fortunately Romo and Felix Jones are out on the offensive side for a while, and hopefully Pacman has seen his last snap as a professional.

I really don't know why these guys are mentioned in the same breath as TO and Witten. Sure they catch a ball here and there, but Redskins and Cowboys fans alike are always, "But Crayton is still there!!"

It's all good, neither of them are that great or even good of a receiver. Chilllllllllllllllllllllllll. :D

Now i know I hate Detroit. I hope TO is happy. The Lions just through in the towel for this season.

I think the move for Williams makes Dallas a better team, especially in the long run. We will have to see how they distribute the ball in that offense in the coming weeks.

This sucks. I don't understand how they have the cap space. Also how will they afford him next year? Can T.O. survive with another big time reciever? We will find out in due time. I think dallas is desperate right now and they sense their season going down the crapper. I bet Jerry Jones can't stand that we are better than them.

That's just it! I don't think they will be able to afford him next year under their cap. So if they choose to keep him around next season......that means someones about to take a pay cut! LOL

While listening to Chris Mortenson, he pretty much agree's the toll was HEAVY with the 1,3,6 +20m in guaranteed $$.
He did point out that the boys will be packing it in with TO in the next couple of years as he is not a kid (in reciever and dog years), and will have outlived his usefullness. This deal gives them an heir apparent.
AND, in the interim, it should provide some serious entertainment with TO, as it looks like...sadly.....snif.....snif........Adam may not have much entertainment value left

Well there is still only one football and it rarely works having 2 #1 WR. They are going to still be the same team, light up the weaker teams and struggle against the better teams. They have no leadership and no heart. R. Williams isn't going to help in either area.

They can load up on offense all they want, but that secondary is still a big problem. JJ is selling out to win now, but I just don't see how another WR puts them over the top.

It IS my fondest wish for the upcoming Yuletide season

Right. It wasn't like their offense was exactly stalling. If you can sustain long drives and keep their defense on the field, that's how you beat the Cowboys.

Dallas is in trouble on the field now too. Romo is out a month.
Brad Johnson should fumble less though! Their secondary is
decimated, Williams is out a month, Newman is out, Felix Jones is out, Pacman should be
considered done for good. Even their punter has a broken foot from
being blocked in OT last week to lose the game to the Cardinals. They
just traded a 1st-round , 3rd- and 6th- draft picks for a WR who is
pretty much a 1st-round bust himself...and gave him $20 million a year
guaranteed! Roy Williams is the highest-paid WR in football now, he
makes $5 million more per year than Randy Moss, $7 million more than
Burress...why? They're already comfortable at WR with Owens
(although he's playing poorly now), Crayton, Austin...plus you can
consider Witten a WR pretty much. They need help on defense now.
You can also bet that Owens will be upset any time this new
high-profile WR takes catches away from him.

I guess since they have no D, they're going to try to outscore everyone. That works for BYU or Hawaii (with Colt Brennan), but not in the NFL.

Bad move in my opinion, but then again, so was Wade Phillips and half
of their roster it looks like.

If I were a Dallas fan, I'd be sick of Jerry Jones too. They have
not won a playoff game in 13 years despite solid regular seasons. It
has to be tough being a fan of that team. Even when Dan Snyder first
took over and we had Heath Shuler (bust) at QB and Steve Spurrier
failing miserably as a coach, we didn't have the off-field problems
and lack of morals in the locker room. Losing was bad, but we didn't
feel like we lost our franchise. Snyder re-hired Gibbs, learned a
LOT about football and the boundaries an owner needs to have and he's
now one of the more successful owners in the league. Jerry Jones
still shows up on the sidelines (a la Al Davis) to call plays and
meddle with the team. No team can win with an owner like that.
