Like Deoin Saunders calls him. The tip-toe burglar..lol.
Redskins Sign Shaun Alexander (Merge) *updated*dmvskinzfan08 10-27-2008, 12:43 PM Like Deoin Saunders calls him. The tip-toe burglar..lol. MTK 10-27-2008, 12:46 PM Deion is really one to call someone out for being soft. He never saw a tackle that he didn't try to avoid. dmvskinzfan08 10-27-2008, 08:04 PM True. But he is going to be in the hall of fame and SA isn't. I'll put money on that..Deoin might not have been the biggest hitter but he changed the game...Regardless of his remarks. I would expect a CB to be softer than a RB who is going to be hit everytime he runs the ball. Deion might not have been a hitter. But he could pick you off and take it to the house for 6 points highstepping into the end zone with his patent leather cleats..lol dmvskinzfan08 10-27-2008, 08:11 PM WTF...Alexander who dissed this team in 05....Fuck him I say.....were fine with Rock Yeah ok. Imagine if CP was really hurt Ravens PS and this was the very reason I said this. If Betts or Portis got hurt. Then the arguement was he doesn't know the plays. By now he would have learned them sitting behind CP and Betts. Then the arguement was I rather have a MVP. Wow. SA looks so good. NOT. Rock? If Rock was so good. SA wouldn't be here..Oh but wait because he is the KO returner. Please. Thrash or someone could have spelled him until Betts got back. Then this guy on this other board used to throw up Rocks stats on KO returns. Now look at his stats. He's a good special teams tackler but teams definitely dont fear him on returns. My bad he's so valuable. Valuable my ass. I will bet anything he wont be here next year......I know drama is coming for me saying this. But whenever I call it like I see it..They come out the wood work. But please mark my words. MTK 10-27-2008, 08:12 PM Seems like someone hates on Rock every year, and every year he holds onto his job and does a fine job at that. Yawn. dmvskinzfan08 10-27-2008, 08:17 PM Seems like someone hates on Rock every year, and every year he holds onto his job and does a fine job at that. Yawn. No one is hating on him. I just dont see why he is so valuable. Aint about hate. Its about him being the third back. Its about cutting a player we might need in the future for him and he can't even be the 3rd back. We have to bring someone else in when the RB goes down (says a lot). He doesn't break kick-offs for TDs. One in his whole career. If its between him and someone who can help us. Like a WR or a RB we hold on to him because people make it out like he is the only one who can make tackles on special teams. Or that he's an awesome returner. Now we are feeling it. One because Kelly is hurt. Could have kept McMullen or Mix..or one of the WRs. Betts is hurt (CP could have been) and we have to bring in the tip-toe burgular instead of keeping Mason who would have learned the offense by now. (plus I thought we learned from bringing in washed up players). Its not hating its fact. MTK 10-27-2008, 08:20 PM huh? dmvskinzfan08 10-27-2008, 08:23 PM Plain English We got rid of Mason because we had Rock and now he can't even fill in as 3rd back. We sign a past his prime player to do what he should be doing. MTK 10-27-2008, 08:26 PM Obviously the people making the personnel decisions don't agree, thankfully for that. 53Fan 10-27-2008, 08:43 PM I liked Mason myself but if I remember right he was given a chance to return kick-offs and did'nt do to well. We needed someone who could contribute this season and Rock does that. I was pulling for Mason to do something on special teams but he did'nt. We don't have the luxury of having someone to just ride the bench. Rock makes a big contribution on special teams. Mason did'nt, and there was no way he was going to beat Betts out for the second spot. With that said, I'm not a big fan of Alexander but the season's only half over. |
