Not saying they were his fault. Saying that so many people were saying keep Rock because of his special teams and experieince and his return ability. If you are the captain. You are the leader of your speical teams. Not saying he is personally responsible as far a missing the tackles. .
Ummmm, that's for the special teams coach to address, not Rock.

Funny that some keep saying Portis is not good at the goal line, but he does have 6 TDs on the year.
Where'd I miss these comments?

don't like the move. what could he bring to the table? i say let Rock pick up Ladells 5 carries a game. would rather see the skins go younger, maybe Mason. and no, i wasn't one of the people on this board that had a Mason man crush

During the preseason coaches were saying that Mason could not block, although bringing back Mason sounds as reasonable to me as signing Alexander.
Portis is the man so it is not a big deal. We need someone to take a few carries to rest CP but just a few carries. Alexander costs virtually nothing even if he is a flop. It is just not a big deal whether we went Mason or Alexander, as long as that person doesn't fumble.
dmek25, I like your idea. Maybe in the offseason we can find a young back who is as good or better than Mason.

Um... I still don't get why people are comparing SA to Mason.
What can he bring to the table? He's made it past pre-season and practice squad with a team. That's more then Mason has.
Go younger? This is a fill in position. Go past MVP.
So I ask again, for all those that don't agree with the move... you don't trust JZ's ability to evaluate talent? Probably the same people who want Janson to stay in.
All hail #35!

Shaun looked good yesterday on his 3 carries, especially his first run that went for 8 yards. Sure he gained a yard and lost a yard on the other two runs, but he looked like he was in shape and took some hits without a problem. Zorn said that's the only thing he needs to work on, taking hits after a year layoff.
Looks like it will be a good move in the end.

He couldnt take a hit when he was in the game shape. i.e, playoffs last year when Marcus Washington laid him out.
WTF...Alexander who dissed this team in 05....Fuck him I say.....were fine with Rock

He wasn't healthy then.
