He's been absolutely beastly this season
Portis Leading NFL in Rushing Yds.Jamaican'Skin 10-13-2008, 11:33 PM He's been absolutely beastly this season Lotus 10-14-2008, 12:03 AM Sammy Baugh was the greatest of all Redskins. Portis blocks better than any other back in the league. This statement comes from a guy who is not overly given to hyperbole. If the season ended today CP would head to Honolulu. He might be MVP (Brees has a strong argument right now.) I look forward to seeing Portis break that one last tackle more often - that is, shake that one defender who is the difference between a short run and a long run, or a long run and a long touchdown. Portis in the backfield is pure happiness. onlydarksets 10-14-2008, 08:59 PM Great job, CP! This guy works so freaking hard during the games, who couldn't be happy for him finally having an elite season? JankySpanky80 10-14-2008, 10:54 PM Clinton is the beast of the East.LOL I'm very happy for him, but how many times have we lost when he hits 100 plus yards. Its not much, so in a losing effort I'm glad he showed up to play CRedskinsRule 10-14-2008, 11:02 PM I know there is a SA thread, however, CP's numbers definitely are helped by Ladell's subbing and not giving the opposing d a rest till CP's next burst gets going. I hope SA wears down the defenses the same way.! J. This statement comes from a guy who is not overly given to hyperbole. not only is the best blocking back in the league,he may be up there with the best of all time.i can't recall seeing a better blocking back ever than portis.maybe one or two fullbacks ,but no rbs. hooskins 10-15-2008, 11:53 AM Maybe I'm an ass, but this isn't really doing it for me. I'm still bitter over the loss. Yep, I wish he could elude that last tackle. Seems, like he is always one tackle away from a long TD run. |
