Takeuon 10-14-2008, 10:15 AM Word is that he'll return in time to play us at FedEx.
The Cowboys play the Rams, Tampa, and the Giants in the time Romo will be out.
Which is fine. We're NOT SKURD! Just means he'll be rusty and wanting to protect his lil fanny finger from getting hit.
BDBohnzie 10-14-2008, 11:36 AM While Brad Johnson has a noodle arm, he's a smart QB. This is going to open things up in the middle of the field for the Cowboys. Watch for TO or Crayton in the slot, and Witten over the middle to see a ton more looks. TO will stop whining for a few weeks because with Romo out, Johnson will have no choice but to get the ball to TO if they are going to be successful.
Plus with no Felix Jones, Tashard Choice is going to get a chance to relief Barber, who is going to see plenty of more carries.
CRedskinsRule 10-14-2008, 11:41 AM If Johnson shakes off the rust, I think he will bring the cowboys a sense of professionalism that is missing.

Exactly. There is something very wrong with the Boys right now. If you saw when Folk hit that FG to tie it, Romo barely showed any emotion. This is the guy that is never at a loss to smile or get excited.
Someone made a great comparison to the Pats of the mid 1990s, after Parcells left, when they hired a players coach in Pete Carroll. What happened afterward was a team that showed a lack of discipline, committing dumb penalties.
Larry Brown on the Cowboys postgame show made a great point. When he was playing, especially under Jimmy, they took pride in not making mistakes. To make mistakes was to jeopardize your position on the team. That doesn't seem to truly matter right now. I mean, if Wade Phillips wanted to cut a player right now, would he just be able to tell Jerry to do it and everything would be OK? I highly doubt it.
All this being said, they are still 4-2, and these next three games are all winnable. If they can bond together as a team and truly play as one, this injury could be a blessing in disguise. Or, the whole damn thing could implode. I'm sure you Redskin fans would HATE to see that happen. :)
hail_2_da_skins 10-14-2008, 12:23 PM AS THE COWBOYS WORLD TURNS ...
The Soap opera in Dallas continues. The injuries to Tony Romo and Felix Jones is a new chapter in AS THE COWBOYS WORLD TURNS. T.O. is always one catch or lack thereof from implosion. PacMan is one bar fight away from suspension. There is always so much drama in the big D. Stay tuned folks. The saga continues ...
johnerotten 10-14-2008, 01:31 PM wade phillips is a puppett and jerry jones of the world's best master of puppetts.
jj wants the world to think he knows it all about football, and that if the talent is there, anybody can coach the team.well guess what?he's made himself into a bigger jackass than he was when he ran jimmy johnson away.what an asshole!

Funny I saw it very differently when you guy's tied it up at the end of the game. They showed a shot of TO and Romo and they both had that smirk on their face like now we will put them away in overtime. I even had that same feeling as here they go to pull this one off but we now know "the rest rest of the story".
htownskinfan 10-14-2008, 02:46 PM Is it really though?
The Skins had 1 turnover through 5 games, and 1 game with 3. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now on the last game.
I think so,I think it was a fluke we went 5 games without a turnover, that just doesnt happen,as a matter of fact it had never happenned before in nfl history,so to think were going to stay on that same path IMO is very wishful thinking. Now hopefully there wont be anymore 3 turnover games,a more manageable 1 turnover game.
Is it just me or does it seem like over the yrs when we have turnovers they usually turn into HUGE plays for the other team.Cant we just fumble the ball and somebody fall on it instead of running for a td? It seems like over the yrs theres been a few times where we would just dominate a team but the turnovers would kill us because they werent just fumbles or ints, they were fumbles or ints that were returned for TDS!!
I can remember a game againts the eagles in the 80's I think,Gerald Riggs was carving up the eagles, had over 200 yrds rushing, was going in for a score to put the game away and fumbled and it was returned for an eagles td,eagles win. That kinda shit always seems to happen to us,or maybe i just think that cause Im a skin fan, maybe other fans feel the same way about their teams
johnerotten 10-14-2008, 02:52 PM come sunday at 415pm,we'll all see whether if it was or was not a fluke.
sunday's game will decide the season in my view.

5 games without a turnover is rare, but I also think coughing it up 3 times in a game is almost as much of a fluke for this team.
