Monkeydad 10-13-2008, 10:08 AM Seeing Dallas and New England both go down made my Sunday a little more bearable. Indeed. It wasn't a crazy Sunday on Landover...it was freakish everywhere this week. SO many last second wins and upsets. BleedBurgundy 10-13-2008, 10:49 AM Yeah, just a twilight zone Week 6. 49ers had plenty of opportunities to beat the eagles up until the last few minutes when they threw an ugly pick 6. GTripp0012 10-13-2008, 11:10 AM Good question. I forgot about Moss. Kinda like this forgettable season they're having.Given that their average margin of defeat is about 24 points, I think it's safe to say that the Pats would be 3 and 2 right now with or without Tom Brady. It's just would be a bigger collapse story if they had him. Thing is, they'll likely have a rebound of sorts on defense next year that will coincide with Brady's return, so his god-like status among mediots should remain safe. GTripp0012 10-13-2008, 11:13 AM Seeing Dallas and New England both go down made my Sunday a little more bearable.I don't want to rain on your parade, but the teams that beat them are arguably (and in SD's case, clearly) better than Dallas and NE. The Rams game is a game we should win 95% of the time or more. It's impossible to go through a season and not get upset, so I'm ok with this defeat given the circumstances, however it now becomes critical that we put away Cleveland and Detroit and get to 6-2 and a stranglehold on second place. GMScud 10-13-2008, 11:30 PM Anybody watching the way Cleveland is playing right now? GMScud 10-13-2008, 11:43 PM They're throwing all kinds defensive looks/blitzes at Eli and it's working well. Not to mention Anderson slicing up their secondary. I imagine Springs will have his hands full with Braylon, but he can handle it. I hope his calf will be 100% though. He's gonna need it. I don't know if I should be happy that they're beating the Giants or worried because we play them next week.. |
