If Skins play within themselves and continue playing mistake free, can't see them not scoring 34pts! Dblock804 10-09-2008, 01:10 PM I feel sorry for Rams fans. Redskins 35 Rams 3 vaoutlaws2006 10-09-2008, 01:12 PM skins 27 rams 17 it will be closer than we might like but i feel we will get the win. Our dline is gonna be tested this weekend. I like our chances though. Portis has another good day and JC continues to play well. hesscl34 10-09-2008, 01:49 PM When was that? The Skins have won 8 of the last 12 vs. the Rams. The last time the Skins started 4-1 was in '99 and they didn't play the Rams that year. I have no idea, but he seemed to think he knew exactly what he was talking about. I hope he was wrong! Vulta121 10-09-2008, 01:54 PM Guys I have to admit this game petrifies me. On paper and stats we should win be at least 30 points. It shouldn't be close. Are we a good team that takes care of business when we are supposed to? I don't think we know yet. I know how we play when people doubt us (4-1 and I can't wait until November 30th so we can get that win back). If we go in and dominate I think it will solidify us as an elite team. And I think we'll do it! 42-3 MTK 10-09-2008, 02:47 PM I think some people are overthinking this. The Skins have taken care of business against some very good teams so far. Yet every week there's some sort of disclaimer out there. Before Dallas it was: The Skins haven't proven anything yet. If they can beat Dallas I'll believe they are a good team. Well, mission accomplished, but then we heard: Yeah they beat Dallas, but I won't believe they are for real unless they beat Philly. Ok mission #2 accomplished. Now as we enter a lighter part of the schedule we're hearing: The Skins need to beat the teams they should (and blow them out) in order to be considered legit. A couple of points. I understand the concern about a letdown or just flat out getting upset. But you know, these things happen to even the best of teams. One loss out of the next 3 games would not be the end of the world. Two losses and ok we can talk, LOL. But seriously, it's ok to believe that we have a very good team on our hands. Maybe we've just been down for so long that we don't know how to handle this. But my advice is to stop worrying about every little thing along the way. Enjoy these wins. We're going to lose some more games along the way, but I honestly think we're going to win much more than we lose from here out. So far this team has proven themselves to be a serious contender. It's ok to "believe". MTK 10-09-2008, 02:51 PM I have no idea, but he seemed to think he knew exactly what he was talking about. I hope he was wrong! The only thing I can find is from '97. The Skins were 6-5-1 heading into a game against the Rams and lost 23-20. If that's what the guy was referring to it's pretty lame. The Skins were already collapsing at the time when the lost to the Rams, having just come off that infamous 7-7 tie to the Giants where Westbrook tossed his helmet and Gus butted his head into the wall. Big C 10-09-2008, 02:52 PM i think it will be a close game, we just havent blown too many people out in the last few years. redskins 24, rams 17 Slingin Sammy 33 10-09-2008, 03:27 PM Don't see a trap game here. Most of the Skins players remember the 700-page playbook, so no surprises there. Blache is familiar with seeing it from practices. Shouldn't be a problem on D. No big concerns for JC & the O either. The Rams are in disarray. Skins 37 Rams 10 |
