No surprise I gotta go with Dallas. Barber runs harder than anyone I have seen "no homer". Felix Jones has great vision and a strong burst once he sees the hole.

I would say in order the Giants(three headed monster), Skins(very close second Betts is good at times and then he is not), and Eagles (Buckhalter, I'll pass).

What do the Skins need to do to stop Felix Sunday?

...more dallas propaganda...

For the record, Felix Jones is a rookie. While he has looked promising, let's wait a year or two before we make the call. Marion Barber is a punishing runner, but his carreer is going to be short lived. Even the great Marshall Faulk said that as a NFL running back, you have to know when to run out of bounds and avoid the hit from time to time. Barber fights for every inch, which is admirable, but at the same time incredibly naive.

It's either Dallas or New York right now. (what has Betts done?) It comes down to who has the better backup.

Derrick Ward has rushed for 178 yards in 3 games, and he's averaging close to 7 yards per carry so far.

In 3 games, Felix Jones has 148 yards but he's averaging 8.2 yards per carry. He also has 2 TD's not including the kickoff return.

I'd say Dallas has the better running duo in the division.

....that being said, I believe neither Jones nor BarberIII will score this week.

Why not just name the thread what you really think "Dallas Has A Better Running Game". You make it like a question when all you really wanted to do is to say Dallas has a better running game. Its not like your going to debate the subject and change your mind.

Dallas Blows!!!!!!!

How many 1000 yard rushing seasons do felix jones, derrick ward, ahmad bradshaw and correll buckhalter have? I'm sure it will change in the future but for the time being the answer is zero. I can't say the same for ladell betts.

i'll take the 1-2 punch of portis & betts following big mike sellers out of the backfield.
portis may not have the total numbers one would expect for a number 1 rusher, but there is not a better all around total back in the league.he's the best rb at catching and stopping blitzes i have ever seen.

I think it's really close but it's hard to argue against Dallas, given how dangerous Felix Jones looks as a backup. New York has a solid core although injuries are always a concern. Portis is on his way to having a statement season and Betts has made some critical plays already this year. Finally, Philadelphia has maybe the best player in the division in Westbrook and Buckhalter showed last week that he can be a viable fill-in as well.

Exciting stuff. Not a weak core in the entire division. Another reason why this season is going to be so much fun in the East.

I'm more impressed with the Dallas line than it's backs. Barber gets a lot of hype but the last time we played them he got 1 yard. Jones is a rookie, who knows for sure? How much is the line and how much is the back? Jacobs is more of a "Barbarian" than Barber. Hard as hell to bring down. Westbrook is a very elusive back who always gives us problems. I like the 1-2 punch we have with Portis and Betts. It does'nt hurt to have the "Beast", Mike Sellers back there either. Portis can break one at any time and is the best blocking back in the league. Betts would be starting on a lot of other teams and is very under-rated. On top of that you've got Sellers back there mowing down people and occasionally catching passes. Nobody wants to hit or be hit by Sellers. Might sound like a homer but I like our guys. As our new offense settles in I think it will showcase our backs talents even more.

No doubt Dallas has the best run oline right now. Everybody's on the Felix Jones bandwagon, and he looks good, but a couple of his long runs the oline opened up a hole big enough that i could have made a pretty good run.

When's the last time you saw a hole like that for Portis or Betts? It's been awhile. So, i don't think it's an apples to apples comparison.
