According to Redskins Insider (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2008/09/jason_taylor_could_have_died_f.html), the bruise to Jason Taylor's leg could have cost him his foot, leg or life. His recovery could put him out of action for a week, or even months.
Yes, I realize there is another JT thread, but this latest tidbit of information is threadworthy.

We'll be fine. We still have Chris Wilson and Demetric Evans waiting in the wings. Not to mention Erasmus James assuming he's healthy. I guess I wasn't crazy when I said that we might not need him for five weeks assuming he wasn't healthy enough for the Eagles game. Since afterwards we have a strech against the Rams, Browns, and Lions. I guess that this is the worst and best time for JT to be out.

Holy crud!!! I'm just glad that...........as of right now.........there is no nerve/ muscle damage. Thats the good thing! Hopefully, he'll be able to make a full recovery and be able to sack Romo the next time we play them.

That is huge. I didn't realize how serious Taylor's injury was. But one of my friend's fathers died of this very thing a few months ago. Out working in the yard, got a blood mass in his leg, wife found him crumpled over and dead later in the afternoon.
Let's hope he makes a quick recovery.

Incredible. I never knew such a thing could happen. I guess it just goes to show you how fragile life is, and to never take anything for granted.
Wishing JT a speedy recovery.

It would not be good to have another year to lose a player and another player named taylor who plays on our defense. It would just seem that we would be snakebit. I do hope that he gets well and takes his time. Football is important, but not important enough to risk life or limb.
