jsarno 09-21-2008, 11:42 PM I was vocal about Moss not being what we needed him to be, and not being a true #1 wr, but he has certainly been impressive and worthy of our #1 spot thus far. So I felt it fitting to start this thread. He is showing his pro bowl form again, and I love it. I said it before, and I'll say it again, I love watching him create when he catches a slant or screen...he's very explosive when healthy.
week 1- 5 rec, 37 yards, 1 td
week 2- 7 rec, 164 yards, 1 td
week 3- 7 rec, 75 yards, 1 td
He's on pace for 101 receptions, 1472 yards, and 16 tds!
Thank you for stepping up Moss...we need it!
I doubted him too coming into this season but he's really having a nice year so far. Hope he keeps it up.
GridIron26 09-21-2008, 11:52 PM It's still too early to tell if he's back to his old form or not..
Skinner 09-21-2008, 11:53 PM I also doubted santana, I hope he keeps producing!!
Redskin 09-21-2008, 11:56 PM nnanaannanana dude there is no way he is a viable #1 reciever, he would be #3 every where else. The guy is terrible, would not make it on a college team. To small, not fast enough, does not have the hands. Plus he always gets hurt, we need to trade him now while he is still looking promising.

I disagree...he's caught the balls thrown his way, and he is racking up the YAC. The only question is whether or not he will stay healthy. But he certainly has been reliable.
In case you haven't noticed, Moss has scored a TD in 6 straight games (including postseason).

No way is he a #3 on any team. The guy has won several games on last minute catches (Cowboys on MNF, Jax a few seasons ago, both wins this season have been capped off by Moss). And not fast enough? I sure hope this is sarcasm!

Are you serious?
Especially the "fast enough" comment...have you not been watching?
Please tell me you're joking, and I missed the sarcasm.
SBXVII 09-22-2008, 12:31 AM I like Moss A lot but I still say he's not a number 1. He's stepping up for us which is good, but I still say he's a hellava #2. The #1 should be a nice tall possession receiver going up against the #1 CB. Moss would be perfect as a #2 going up against #2 quality CB causing double teams due to his speed.
53Fan 09-22-2008, 12:36 AM Moss spent alot of time this offseason with Campbell to make sure they were on the same page. Something he did'nt do last year. He takes the blame for that. It has paid off and I expect him to have a great year.
