KLHJ2 09-18-2008, 09:11 AM Shockey is playing @ Denver
ARE is, well, you should already know, but here against Arizona.
Who would you start in Fantasy? Leave your homerism off of this thread.
mredskins 09-18-2008, 09:15 AM Why is this a question? They hold too diffrent spots on a roster. You should be able to put ARE at WR and Shockey at TE.

The league that I am on, I can play either or. I can play a TE or a WR.
Thanks for playing, you lose.
BTW, I want to know why you would play that individual also.
Miller101 09-18-2008, 09:44 AM I'd go with ARE. Shockey just came off an injury and he didn't look the same. Also, Brees and him don't seem to have the chemistry thing yet.
Take last week for example, You could cleary see that Brees didn't look his way to much when he played us. That surprised me because I thought, with Colston down, Shockey was going to get thrown to at least 7 times that game.
With ARE, we're playin an easy defense. I say easy because they really don't have any feared pass rushers, linebackers, or cornerbacks. They do have a safety thats alright, but the rest of their guys suck. Also with ARE, he's healthy and you know he's going to get targeted. Especially since he really is the second best wide reciever on this team right now.
Thats my opinion. Good Luck!
EternalEnigma21 09-18-2008, 10:07 AM I'd go shockey. He's more likely to find the endzone, and with colston out, after losing last week you can bet they're working on getting him more involved in the offense this week. Probably a serious focal point.
EternalEnigma21 09-18-2008, 10:09 AM Only upside to ARE would pe return yard points, but well I wouldn't sweat that too much.

I don't lose anything, dick. I was trying to help you.

I didn't think that you would take it that personal. My name isn't Richard though. If you have an opinion, I would still like to hear it.
BDBohnzie 09-18-2008, 11:15 AM Shockey's Season Stat line: 8 catches, 76 yards, 0 TDs
ARE's Season Stat line: 11 catches, 126 yards, 0 TDs, 5 punt returns, 21 yds
'Zona defense is ranked 7th, Denver's ranked 23rd. Shockey will create more mismatches than ARE this week. I'd go Shockey in the WR/TE flex spot.
mredskins 09-18-2008, 11:17 AM Sometimes people look past the obvious. Like my TV doesn't work and you check a million things but come to find out it is not pluged in. This is where I was going with you because 99.9% of leagues make you have to play at least one TE.
With that said I would go with Shockey, after last weeks game I felt like Payton and Bree's were trying to get him more involved. Where as ARE is only good for like 4 catches and like 75 yards on his best days. Shockey can get in the end zone as well and since they have no short yardage RB even on the one they may look to Shockey.
I like the Richard comment. I use to have a really mean boss and I nicked named him Richard Carnium.
