From what I heard on the radio Philly is probably his top choice, if they want him back.
As for Brunell no surprise here, Ramsey just isn't ready.
I guess that head scratcher of a move in bringing in Brunell wasn't so curious after all.

If he does go back to Philly. It would be interesting that both Trotter and Douglas go back there
Anyone else here think that Jim Johnson deserves a shot as a head coach?

I watched Hugh Douglas play against Green Bay this past week (on NFL network replay) and he did not play that bad he made some decent athletic plays chasing RB down from behind. No sacks though.

Joe wants a veteran, and Ramsey did nothing to win the job especially in the last preseason game against the Rams...............Of all the 3 from what I've seen Hasselbeck has looked the best :( Let's hope with time Mark gets more comfortable with Joe's system..............

Douglas has had knee injuries in the past. Sometimes veteran players put on a great show to get signed and then retreat to an abyssmal deep. You know what I mean? Try Armstead, Trotter, Sanders,etc....

besides that first game, hasselbeck hasn't been any better... he's literally twice as likely to throw an INT than either ramsey or brunell (TH = 5.9% ints, PR = 2.7%, MB = 2.5%)...
with hasselbecks 5 tds and 7 ints last year (vs ramseys 14 and 9), i'd say that's at least one big strike against him. I know ramsey hasn't been lighting any fires this preseason either, but hasselbeck looked really bad in the carolina game.

I understand where you are going with this, but I dont agree with the people you mentioned. Armstead hasnt had a bad year yet in his career. He was basically our mvp on devense last year. Trotter wasnt really an aging vetren with knee injuries when we got him, he got hurt when he was here, and was 25 when we signed him. Trotter wasnt steller when he played here, but over 100 tackles inst a abyssmal deep as you put it. Douglas had 30 tackles and like 2.5 sacks last year.
Id made you list be douglas, joe johnson, mabye kevin green. Dana stubblfield. Bruce smith...etc.

Of course trotter is out with a knee injury right now..lol. and I hope he does the same for them.
If he doesnt get hurt though...thats a monster tandom of ends that they have now.

Absolutely. He and Monte Kiffin both deserve a shot at the head coaching job. Funny thing is, both of them are on record as not being interested -- they prefer to coordinate defenses.
I'm hoping Gregg Williams has the same opinion for at least a few years so the players can stop whining about no continuity at the coaching positions. When Gibbs decides to call it quits, I wouldn't mind seeing Williams take over.
