I agree offiss, don't worry I don't think we have anything to worry about.
Jacobs won't be cut.
Coles and McCants is playing injured. Maybe they keep Scott and Jacobs. Thrash and Gardner are the key components at the Wideout position.
Nor did Scott Cloman and Cliff Russell have a chance to prove themselves.....
Big difference, Jacobs actually has some real potential. Cloman and Russell??
Barely NFL Europe material. Cloman maybe, but Russell is a track guy in pads. No hands whatsoever.

jacobs did show he's got the tools, he'll be on the team, though scott may end up as a tough cut in the end, depending on what the staff decides to do.

We're probably both right. If you look at the WR roster. Coles, Gardner, Thrash, McCants, Jacobs and Scott doesn't look bad.

they might keep scott for the cheap extra depth due to coles injury... i think he'll make it at least to the final cut... he might end up on the practice squad too.

If you're not apart of the committee making the cut, I wouldn't believe anything you took to the bank. Cliff Russell was in the same boat as Taylor Jacobs. If you know anything about Gibbs you know he's famous for keeping undrafted and low drafted players. Jacobs is trying out for a position that needs him to shine at the kickoff/punt return also. Gari Scott scored a TD against Denver's first string and returned several kickoffs with no turnovers. If I didn't know that Jacobs was a high draft pick based on his performance, he would be gozonnnnnnnnnn!
Not even close with that analogy, There is no way you could have compared Russell, to Jacob's, Matty hit the nail on the head, Russell was drafted because of his speed, period! He had a rep in college of not being able to catch, that is why he lasted as long as he did, and may not have been drafted at all if it wasen't for us.
Jacob's on the other hand was rated the 15 best player in last year's draft, as well as the most NFL ready WR in the draft.
Gibb's is also known for keeping high pick's as well.
I am curious what has Jacob's done to be so bad this pre-season? He had a nice catch the other night, as well in his limited playing time last year, made a couple of unbeilievable circus catches, 1 for a TD, you have to understand that Gibb's will try to show case an individual at times, meaning he will run play's for a specific player to see what he can do, it's an evaluation process, and while that happen's other do not seem to be contributing, but that's only because they are not running play's for that individual, against the Ram's he went to Jacob's and he looked fine to me, and if that's your evaluation process who is going to catch the ball for us other than coles? Who by the way seem's to have a chronic foot problem, no reciever has stood out this pre-season, McCant's maybe, and Scott, and neither one is lighting the world on fire, but that's it, Gardner has been pretty much none existent.

Thrash seemed slow against the Rams I mean I think thats why Ramsey was over throwing him. the only passes he over threw were to Thrash i think he has lost some speed but he is a Redskin through and through.

Ramsey missed Thrash in the endzone because he threw a bad pass, full stop. Anyway, Thrash is not on this team for his blazing speed.
