I guess we should just assume that fish is code for old white man?

How is this even an issue with anyone? I guess it's ok for the McCain to use the lipstick on a pig expression when referring to Hilary, but as soon as Obama says it it must mean he's slamming Palin. Please.
Did McCain sya this about Hillary?

Real change...by choosing Biden as a running mate...hilarious. :D :D :D :D

Speaking of Senator Biden:

Did McCain sya this about Hillary?

From the article:

Last October, asked about Sen. Hillary Clinton's health care plan, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was blunt. McCain said Clinton's proposal was "eerily" similar to the ill-fated plan she devised in 1993. "I think they put some lipstick on a pig," he said, "but it's still a pig."

I think it's pretty apparent Obama was referring to McCain, when talking about the "old fish". But, that's not the point. McCain having a problem with the "lipstick on a pig" comment is just the pot calling the kettle black.

Just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it isn't common. Hell, dmek's signature has it and it's been there forever.
obama personally ask me if it was OK to use that phrase:)
come on, guys. have we gotten to a point that we are so guarded in when we speak, that just about everything we say is offending someone? as far as Sarah Palin, the Dem's cannot say anything about her, without the G.O.P saying they are ripping her unfairly. or that it was a sexist remark. the fact is that Mrs Alaska is one heart beat away from RUNNING the United States. if we are going to grant her that luxury, don't we at least owe it to ourselves to find out alittle bit about her? im trying to figure out how scripted the debate between her and Joe Biden is going to be. because up till about 3 weeks ago, she said she hadn't been following the Iraq war very close. does anyone on this board actually have no problems with her running the country? an interesting side note. yesterday the McCain/ Palin ticket was here in Lancaster. Palin spoke first, for approx. 22 minutes. the John McCain spoke, for approx. 17 minutes. does this ever happen? who actually is the headliner on the ticket? the one thing that is most appalling about the election this year is that we, as Americans have sooo many issues that really need attention, and we are spending time worrying about offending someone. if she cant handle this kind of criticism, what happens when the big boys over seas start putting the pressure on her?

Well she has been attack from all sides and just check my link to factcheck.org to see how much of what she is being attacked on is just lies. Its one thing to twist around what someone said like we see from both sides but it the personal attacks that have grown old. I see both McCain and Obama comercials that are misleading and are one sided. Thats just what happens now days.

Did McCain sya this about Hillary?

No.

THIS is why looking at context is always important.

McCain said it regarding Hillary's healthcare plan that she recycled and is proposing again after it went down in flames about a dozen years ago when she tried to push it into law as First Lady. NOT about a person.

This usage of it came a week after Sarah Palin made the joke "You know the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick!"

NOT included in Obama's response to the uproar about his blatantly insulting comment: an explanation. He didn't say what he was talking about when he made the comment, he just criticized the McCain campaign and media for "taking out of context and making up a controversy."

No sir, it really doesn't look like it IS being taken out of context since you didn't tell us what the context really could be...

Democrats have taken to personally attacking Governor Palin and her family to destroy her since they can't debate issues with her (considering she has more experience than Senator Obama).
