Tom Brady out for the year4thGenRedskin21 09-08-2008, 01:50 PM the pats will miss the playoffs this year, mark my words firstdown 09-08-2008, 01:56 PM Sucks for Tom Brady. I hate that he got injured, but I DON'T feel bad for the Patriots! I'm tired seeing them in the Super Bowl almost every single year. It's time for a completely different team to start dominating the NFL. Like..like...the REDSKINS! :D Well with Brady out its like a guy on the PGA cheering his victory but knowing that the best player/team was out hurt. 4thGenRedskin21 09-08-2008, 02:06 PM Well with Brady out its like a guy on the PGA cheering his victory but knowing that the best player/team was out hurt. im sorrry, but i dont know anyone who celebrates a win and thinks that. Staying healthy is part of being good at sports. I dont care how good you are, if you arent healthy enough to play, it doesnt matter. A win is a win and the pats will not be the same team after this fiasco, its about time. everyteam has to fall from the glory, and now its the pats turn skinsfan69 09-08-2008, 02:33 PM I hope Brady comes back and it recovers 100%. But when will these guys learn? All right handed QB's should have on a knee brace on the left leg cause their plant legs are the most vunerable. Not saying it would've saved his knee cause it didn't work on Carson Palmer but it might have. mredskins 09-08-2008, 02:33 PM I'm not saying Cassel is going to lead the team to a Super Bowl, but I'd love to go back and see how Rams and Patriots fans reacted when Green and Bledsoe went down for for Warner and Green, respectively? I lived in NE when Bledsoe went down and he was pretty much hated there. No one when was crying to hard. sandtrapjack 09-08-2008, 02:36 PM I guess I am in the minority here, especially when I say that even with Brady out for the year, the Patriots are still a team that will attain double digit wins. They can still end up 10-6 or even 11-5 when the smoke clears. Say what you want about Bellicheat, but the fact of the matter is the Patriots are the best coached team in the league. Say what you will, but he keeps that team grounded and on the same page. Second, it was not that long ago in 1999 or 2000, that the Patriots starting QB went out with an injury and an unknown, backup 6th round pick named Tom Brady stepped in and blew everyone away. Third, the Pats have the EASIEST regular season schedule in the league. And lastly, if you have to use a back up like Cassel, then look at the talent surrounding him. Moss, Watson, Maroney, Faulk, Welker. Not to mention a veteran defense that knows how to keep thier team in the game until the final gun sounds. With the talent, coaching and schedule I think Cassel is programmed for success. If he blows this chance, it is unilkely he will succeed any where in the league. skinsfan69 09-08-2008, 02:38 PM Matt Cassell will get to start his first game SINCE HIGH SCHOOL next week. :D :D :D I usually do not take any joy in seeing anyone get hurt, but when it happens to someone as arrogant as Brady who plays on a team that cheats...it's tough not to smile about it because he's due for a return back to reality...he IS human like the rest of us. Now he'll have time to get a few more women pregnant. Sour grapes. I said earlier in this thread I thought they were a 13-3 team with Brady, 10-6 without him. 4thGenRedskin21 09-08-2008, 03:14 PM yeah but 10-6 might not make the playoffs in the AFC MTK 09-08-2008, 03:28 PM It could win that division though. |
