Funny how a lot of posters on this board echo the media's over-reaction to one loss yet continually gripe about 'no respect from the media'. It's also funny how the Giants coverage was far more complimentary that we actually played a tough game against them vs. our coverage of a disaster in the Meadowlands.

Nice perspective across the board.

I think people are completely focused on on the first couple of plays when the Giants' D overwhelmed the o-line and JC. Yet they forget that our defense held the Giants to 16 pts. even after being on the field for a lot of time b/c of our offense's 3 and outs. I think we have a lot of work to do, but this was not a blowout whatsoever. I think there's room for growth and if our offense plays as they did at the end of the first half, we could be a much better team.

The DC media as a whole bogs us with overly pessimistic and haphazard coverage..

There are only two ways to "shut Sally Jenkins up". She will write about whatever she wants to write about and folks here need to deal with that.
I can't ever remember reading anything from her that was informative or a good read. Here's my question and maybe some of the media types out there can answer this: Why does the WP keep paying her to write for them? On TV & radio, everything is ratings. How is writers' performance based? I would think the Post gets complaints on her after every column, is that why they keep paying her because it shows people are reading it? Maybe the best option is to ignore her and maybe she'll go away?

One thing I remember from Blaches Chicago days is that the defense was frequently described as bend don't break. I think we saw a lot of bending this past Thursday but not a whole lot of breaking. With that said I am scared how lost Zorn looked this past Thursday. I guess I'm getting ready to call for the Chin.
