53Fan 09-06-2008, 09:00 PM I don't think the play calls were half as bad as the execution. It seems like no matter what play was called something went wrong, illegal procedure, missed blocks, whatever. You are not going to win no matter what play you call if you don't execute it. Both times Randal-el jumped, it was on a play called for Cooley. Instead we go back 5 yards. Why did he jump? It was'nt because of the play called. We have alot of work to do. It's not time to point fingers. It's time to settle down and get busy.

I still can't get over the ARE false starts. It was ridiculous.
hucapn 09-07-2008, 04:51 AM Zorn just needs to run his offense. Too many times we lined up in two wide sets and ran the ball. If Zorn is going to lead this team anywhere, we need to hop out there and FULLY RUN THE WEST COAST OFFENSE! I went to a lot of sessions in Ashburn. I want to see those packages where they throw screens to Fred Davis when hes split wide left, ON FIRST DOWN. The West coast works by catching the defense off guard. Running the ball will never catch the Redskins opponents off guard because WE HAVE BEEN RUNNING THE DAMN BALL SINCE SPURRIER.(sorry to the fans like myself who blocked out the painful memory of that era. Trung Candidate, Shuler, ..tear)
Zorn needs to make Jason Campbell throw that shit 30-40 times a game, good or bad. He needs to throw those interceptions and learn like everyone else. When coachs have faith in their quarterbacks they call throws when they need first downs in key situations. Quaterbacks know that too. It's third and anything inside of five Portis is getting the ball. NOT TO DOWN PORTIS.(he plays hard as hell, a little crazy with the costumes but did you see that block? JACKED UP!!!) His talents will be best suited running draws, screens, and counters out of a three or four receiver set. CAN FRED DAVIS GET ON THE FIELD? CAN WE THROW THE M@#$%F%$#@@ING BALL TO CHRIS COOLEY)
I guess I'm just disappointed, but we are mismanaging talents from the top down as an organization right now. I think Snyder just needs to pay a guy to make the decisions for him. Parcells would have been a good fit, as blasphemous as that is to say being a former coach of the two most dispicable teams in the NFL, besides Philadelphia who is equally dispicable. Let's just play football. On some levels its complicated, but on Sunday it's about our team wanting to win more than the other squad.
The Giants are better and they were ready to execute their gameplan. Burress looked worth everything they paid him and he knew it. Brandon Jacobs DEMOLISHED our best defender. Eli went about his business with that stupid ass look like he always does. (His face looks like its stuck on the word "darn") Zorn was trying to get first downs with the starting offense. The "D" stood up but not really. We have problems to fix as a squad. They need to knight London Fletcher or something. GET MOTIVATED SKINS!! The city needs it!!
budw38 09-07-2008, 11:36 AM We do not have the talant to throw the ball 40 times per game . If we go with three wr sets and throw , JC will get beaten like Ramsey . If you want JC to succeed we need to run , get the Defense to put 8 in the box then take some shots .

Not many teams do, it's just not a sound offensive approach either.
4thGenRedskin21 09-07-2008, 12:23 PM if we had 11 clinton portis', we would win the superbowl every year. I love Portis so much, he will probably always be my favorite runningback. He's just a stand up guy and really loves this team. I think we need to just learn how to GEL together because when it comes down to it, it's still football and the players are the one who need to execute, if they dont think a play is gonna work, campbell should change the play. You can blame the Oline, you can blame the coach, you can blame the qb, but in reality, it
s all their fault. How long have these people been playing football>? most likely since they were 4-5. Let's play some fucking football boys!! we looked like a bunch fo sallys out there

You might be too young to remember, but we were running the ball long before Spurrier. :) (Hogs, Riggo, Byner, etc. Or we could really go back to G. Allen & Larry Brown).

Could not agree more . I expect the Offense to get better as we go through the season .
NYCskinfan82 09-07-2008, 07:50 PM we need to work on our hurry up offense, 2 minute offense, getting Devin Thomas involved even if we use him as a decoy
cochise 09-08-2008, 04:25 PM Madden kept repeating the Skins need work on thier 2 minute 4minute hell 60 minute offense! IMO the way the G-men wee stacking the line with 8men fronts' made JC jittery.
