MY BAD! gTRIPP KNOWS how important QB play is right? You are actually trying to break down this game like that? This isn't preseason. The QB played very very very bad. You'll get a full game breakdown tomorrow courtesy of me, assuming that Matty doesn't have to give you a vacation to keep some sanity.

Campbell was very, very slow tonight in his reads. To me, that totally 100% backs up Schneed's hypothesis that he's not comfortable yet in the offense. Apparently to you, that means everything you've seen from him in 20 starts was a mirage, and that he's "a bitch" (which is totally meaningless to us).

Schneed's pretty smart, and I think I'm going to side with him on this one. I'll review the game tomorrow.

Wilsowilso,

Nobody here is implying that Jason Campbell played great or even average tonight. We all see that he has A LOT to learn with this new offense. We all know he played a bad game. But man, this IS the first game of the season. If the guy continues to struggle and doesn't look like he's making progress, then crap on the guy then if you must. But, give him at least a few games to redeem himself. It isn't like he's been playing in the same offense for the last four years.

People on this site love to blame just ONE person when many people are at fault. It happened with Doughty in the Jacksonville game and it is happening with Campbell in this game. I don't think anyone is out to defend Campbell's bad plays, but people act like he single handedly brought down the team, while overlooking other areas in which the team screwed up such as pass protection, play calling, and dropped passes.

Let me ask you a question Gtripp? Was it the fact that I used the word bitch that bothered you? I didn't do anything wrong except use the word bitch right?

I'm not going to say we wouldn't have won this game with Peyton Manning at Quarterback, because we did hold them to 17 points. And Quarterback was certainly part of the problem tonight.

Other problems:

-No semblance of a running game
-Poor run defense
-No pressure on the QB in the first half
-Multiple Blown Coverages on the Giants TD Drive
-Piss poor blocking most of the night
-Receivers never, ever open

The defensive problems were minor, and as the game went on, they disapeared. The offensive issues seem to be rather major, and not bound to fix themselves anytime soon. Rest assured that Jason Campbell will be part of the solution, and a force that offsets the other problems. It will take time though.

If that isn't acceptable to you, then don't watch the games. It's not worth your time, because there are about 20 teams in the NFL that are better than this one that you can be rooting for.

I think you've totally overreacted, and then you tried to draw an asinine political tie when skinsguy was being rational. I was simply saying the thread was retarded.

It boils down to you being ridiculously impatient. I don't care what you call Campbell, but you've been on his side the whole offseason, and if 15 plays can convince you otherwise, I don't know what I can say to you besides "thats crazy."

He'll play better in the future -- obviously.

Let me get this straight. I argue that JC is not capable and you say that(directed to me) Matty might have to step in after that in general why don't you watch another team? I was a JC fan all along so when I get mad about his development this year you come up with this?

On the hierarchy of blame for this one, I'd put Campbell no higher than 4th or 5th..
D-Line-not getting any push in the running game
WR-Moss, catch the f'ing ball. The rest of you, get to the 1st down sticks. They were drive killers all night!
DB (Rogers)-Catch the f'ing ball
Campbell-He's thinking way too much, as to be expected at this stage of learning the offense but giving him the chances to throw the ball and get in a rhythm will help accelerate that.
OL-Too many breakdowns in protection

To put this loss on Campbell proves that you have no actual knowledge about football and are simply echoing the morons that always blame or praise the QB for the team's fortunes.
