Redskins vs. Giants Game Thread 9/4/08

i totally agree, finally someone else who says devin need to involved more, i mean for someone who is supposed to the future he only saw the freaking feild twice on offense..

A few things I forgot, when passing on 3rd, go beyond the line of scrimmage for the 1st down, not behind. Antonio Pierce is a FUCKING PUNK!! I hate that guy.

Campbell played much better in the 2nd half, and if it weren't for drop passes, running short routs (*cough*Thomas*cough*) and the fact that we were behind, things would have looked much better. I think Zorn needs to focus on the run as a way to develop the pass. He should have noticed that once Portis started to run the ball, the passes opportunities were there. All the pundits were saying that the Redskins needed to do a good job running the ball, instead the team went pass happy and Campbell got harrassed and sacked.

I must say that I'm not that concerneda about the defense if they become healthy. They were without Springs, then Smoot, and Taylor was not 100% and they still held the Giants to just one TD and three field goals. Given on the offense was performing, the defense would have easily given up another three TDs.

When I heard Jerry Jones was very pissed when we took Colt I didn't think much of it. Now I think JC needs to sit. I love this team, but that was more than embarssing. That was horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. I know it's just the first game but damn that JC guy looked like a joke.

Devin & Malcolm have great talent but their preseason didn't help them and if the vets having caught onto the offense why would they?

I'm 100% with you on that....things got to improve a lot against the Saints

im not saying they have caught on already, but having them on the feild and actually having playing time will help in their development to learn this offense

I felt the game tonight was a poor excuse for a NFL game. Other then the Giants first drive this game reminded me of a high school football game. I know there will be growing pains as we all saw tonight but it's still frustrating as hell.

Bad managing of the clock, we didn't seem to pass enough (wondering if Campbell is truly trusted yet), Campbell holds the ball way to long, seemed like every pass completion was on Smoot.

Again it's the first game and a new coach and new offense. Hopefully, things will get better. :)
