man I need a job, I'll come up with better stuff for a paycheck
is this a Gibbs diss?? does it even apply?SKINSnCANES 08-26-2004, 05:08 PM man I need a job, I'll come up with better stuff for a paycheck jbcjr14 08-26-2004, 05:11 PM Who is this flaming idiot? Not sure where he is coming from on this one... Skins fan 44 08-26-2004, 05:17 PM HUH??? Where is Gary Barnett when you need him? lol I is just a shame that one play ruined his career. *roll eyes* Just let it go man!!! Kevikazi 08-26-2004, 05:55 PM What do you expect from a guy who thinks Marques Tuiasosopo is the best man as a Raider's QB over Kerry Collins and Rich Gannon. This writer Alan Grant is a scary judge of talent.... Daseal 08-26-2004, 06:41 PM I think he was referring more to the fact that Walt B did everything right and Joe Gibbs seemingly came off as saying hey, you had your shot. I don't know a whole lot of that era, but I'm guessing we were pretty loaded at WR and he didn't have a huge shot anyways. Tuiasosopo may just be the Raiders best chance. I never thought Kerry Collins did anything but restrict the Giants, Gannon is ancient. The young guy showed some poise when I saw him last year. Skins fan 44 08-27-2004, 12:00 AM Come to think of it was that the Fun Bunch and Posse era? If that was the case the guy did nothing but wasted his summer in Washington. He should of went to Tampa Bay or some other bad team like that back then. SmootSmack 08-27-2004, 12:05 AM The writer really loses a lot of credibility by seemingly associating himself with Walt B. Maybe he felt the need for full disclosure. Either way the article seems to indicate that Gibbs totally missed the boat on this guy, but apparently so did the rest of the league. dieselhog 08-27-2004, 07:14 AM I could've been a hall of fame linebacker.... damn it! If only I had been living in the US and playing college ball and got drafted and made a roster and won a superbowl and gone to the probowl and had a 17 year all star career and retired as the most loved athelete ever. Damn. I'm so bitter. :cheeky-sm That Guy 08-27-2004, 12:16 PM you and me both... i'm the most famous 135lb DE that never was. JWsleep 08-27-2004, 01:34 PM And on that same play that Walt-B got cut, Gibbs said to himself, JWsleep, there goes your chance as well. I could just tell by the way he looked on the sidelines that year. He never gave me my shot! And I was a shoe-in all-pro throw-back two-way every-down player, in my backyard... |
