Cowboys 10-6 *Camp Marshmallow strikes early, Boys rebound late (4 of last 6 at home)
Eagles 10-6 *McNabb back fully, plus they get the Falcons at the link
Giants 8-8 *They will be the hunted this year
Redskins 6-10 *Growing pains
I think that is way to conservative an estimate for the NFC East teams.

We are all playing the NFC West and the AFC North this season. Those are not 2 divisions that you can label as "power houses" like the NFC East. The BEST record from 2007 from those 2 divisions is 10-6, and 5 of those 8 teams finished the regular season at .500 or worse. Only 2 of those teams made the post season, because they won thier respective divisions.

Now if the NFC East were playing the AFC South this season I would agree with you.

But other than the disparity between road vs home games and placement of team bye weeks, this is really a cake schedule for the NFC East. Once again our main opposition will come from within our own division.

I can see your point about the performance of those divisions last year, but I don't see this year playing out like last year for either those divisions or our own. I like history too, like the time the Rams went from worst to first and won a Super Bowl ('99). Point being, last year's results are often times only that, last year's results. Plus, those divisions have some stout defenses, and playing defense gives you a chance. I think Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Arizona and Baltimore each have a good shot at beating Dallas. the 49ers are a long shot, but I like Mike Nolan, love Patrick Willis, and think Frank Gore and Mike Martz will get the offense to the middle of the pack. I don't see any team in our division downing that sixpack.

I was conservative, but I went through each team's schedule and that's what I saw. I tried to not be a homer, to objectively look at the schedule. I really undersold the Skins, but that is because I don't think we did a good enough job at filling the holes we had last year.

I think the Cowboys won't win as many games as last year, simply because they won 13 games last year and still didn't win in the playoffs. This year I think they take a little off the throttle in the regular season in an effort to win a playoff game. There's a lot of pressure on the folks in Dallas, is Wade the kind of coach to handle that?

ESPN - Camp Confidential: Giants trying to avoid Super Bowl hangover - NFL (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp08/columns/story?columnist=mosley_matt&id=3536546&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1)

After I read this article I must admit I felt like I'd overlooked the giants. It makes their secondary sound better w/Kenny Phillips. Still, they might be better on paper than I thought, but I see a tough year for them.

Giants 11-5 (Have something to prove but will fizzle in the playoffs)
Cowboys 9-7 (Romo has just a few bad games and TO jumps ship)
Skins 8-8 (I agree with Memphisskin we need another year to fill in the gaps)
Eagles 6-10 (They missed their chance, they wont have another until they stop investing in Mcnabb)

I really believe that any team in this divison could end up on top. but here's how i see it.

Cowboys 11-5
Redskins 10-6
Giants 9-7
Eagles anywhere from 9-7 to 7-9

Gotta love the NFC east being the best divison in football again.

Redskins:16-0
Giants:2-14
Eagles:1-15
Cowpokes:0-16

This isn't going to happen(except for the Redskins hopefully) but it would be nice to see it happen, wouldn't it?

This is my real prediction:

Cowboys:13-3[Get on a roll, but stumble the last few games, one and done in playoffs-thanks to Romo  ]
Redskins:12-4[Start off slow but we pick up speed as the season ends]
Giants:9-7 to 6-10[Lost key leaders in Strahan and Shockey, Stumble through season]
Eagles:6-10 or worse[Once again McNabb gets hurt(and adding insult to injury :spank: ) only to have Westbrook follow and the team crumbles]
