Kheri Cambell has played excellent at linebacker!
1st cuts - August 31Daseal 08-25-2004, 08:20 AM Kheri Cambell has played excellent at linebacker! That Guy 08-25-2004, 08:35 AM mcollough is kind of a crapper portis, i don't really think he'll be around... tupa is staying though... he can fake and throw passes, and he's hall's holder... JoeRedskin 08-25-2004, 08:58 AM I think there is absolutly zero chance they cut Harris. They'd take an immediate cap hit plus they are thin at CB to begin with. No chance whatsoever they cut him. They keep him even if they have to amputate his left leg off. While I agree that it is unlikely that Harris gets cut, I don't think they take a cap hit. As I recall, the deal he signed was contingent on his making the final roster. I may be wrong on that one. Also, on a side note: When was the last time that the Skins had enough depth to be looking at cutting guys on the first cut who could be NFL players (not necessarily starters but good back up types? Don't recall that debate last year. Defensewins 08-25-2004, 09:33 AM Here 26 possible cuts for next week. 12 Brewer, Jonathan WR 6-0 175 R Howard 50 Campbell, Khary LB 6-3 250 2 Bowling Green 31 Clark, Ryan S 5-11 200 3 LSU 84 Cloman, Scott WR 6-3 214 1 Southern University 15 Dillard, Sean WR 5-10 172 1 Temple 1 Douglas, Dameane WR 6-0 195 5 California 71 Evans, Demetric DE 6-3 300 3 Georgia 63 Ferrario, Bill C 6-2 315 3 Wisconsin 2 Hamdan, Gibran QB 6-4 208 1 Indiana 92 Heuer, Norman DT 6-5 288 R Michigan 23 Jimoh, Ade DB 6-1 245 1 Utah State 6 Kimrin, Ola K 6-3 200 1 UTEP 59 Lemons, Devin LB 6-2 232 1 Texas Tech 22 McCullough, Sultan RB 6-0 197 1 USC 78 Morgan, Dwayne OL 6-4 300 1 Clemson 61 Nowland, Ben C 6-3 300 1 Auburn 18 Scott, Gari WR 6-2 194 2 Michigan State 45 Sellers, Mike FB 6-3 260 4 Walla Walla CC 13 Standeford, John WR 6-4 206 R Purdue 5 Stemke, Kevin P 6-2 194 1 Wisconsin 48 Stephens, Leonard TE 6-3 258 2 Howard 48 Strother, Billy LB 6-0 230 R New Mexico 90 White, Greg DE 6-3 268 1 Minnesota 38 Wilds, Garnell CB 5-11 196 R Virginia Tech 16 Williams, Jafar WR 6-2 210 R Maryland 74 Wright, Darrell DE 6-4 285 1 Oregon I am fairly sure Mike Sellers will not be cut. He is physical enough to play both TE positions and fullback. Gibbs likes him. It becomes a question of do they keep Sellers or Kozlowski? Kozlowski is getting old, but he is a smart player. Sellers is younger but mabe not as crafty Kozlowski....so? FRPLG 08-25-2004, 11:12 AM While I agree that it is unlikely that Harris gets cut, I don't think they take a cap hit. Don't recall that debate last year. Yeah...I had asssumed he had a bigger SB and no contingencies but as you can see they wouldn't take to much of hit really either way. I still think he makes the squad. Even hurt he is better than Jimoh and Bauman apparently. Bergman14 08-25-2004, 12:00 PM I dont think hes better the Bauman, I thought they liked him as the third option RedskinPete 08-25-2004, 12:05 PM I think Scott will make this team! at the very least make it till the final cut then on to the five man squad if someone dosen't get him first! Big C 08-25-2004, 01:12 PM sellers, and koz with both stay i believe, but mccolough has to go i hate him. stempke would be nice to have on the PS. Harris, Bauman, Smoot, Springs, Ralph brown, and maybe 1 more corner, not Ade, or i will start a petition to get his ass cut! Dave Butz Baby! 08-25-2004, 01:29 PM Wow Big C... in looking at your signature, I didn't know that Joe Gibbs and Al Davis and Bob Marley were all the same person. And I have no doubt they'll cut Sultan just because you "hate him". ;) OaklandSkinz 08-25-2004, 01:29 PM Practice squad is 8 players this year... I'm with Daseal on this one...Cloman has definitely not gotten the work that recievers like Gari Scott have gotten in the preseason. Suprisingly it seems not a lot of throws are coming his way, even when he "does" get in the game.. I'm surprised Hamden hasn't been getting a look either.. |
