Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™Paintrain 08-06-2008, 11:46 AM I voted 4. I think he's going to be a very solid coach for us for a good while.. GhettoDogAllStars 08-06-2008, 01:01 PM So many people have given Zorn a high rating, because he's done nothing to show otherwise. I guess my line of reasoning is the opposite. I start low and go high. So I started at 1, and since I have liked what I've seen so far, he's moved up to 2. I can't give him total confidence, simply because he has almost no experience. I agree with Saden: confidence is earned. I'd really like to give him more, but he's only coached and/or called plays for a single game -- and it was preseason. I have a great feeling about him, but I don't think that translates into confidence yet. hurrykaine 08-06-2008, 01:07 PM Gave him a 4 for now - Mods, please re-administer this poll after the opener against the Giants. If we can get at least 2 offensive TDs in that game (irrespective of the result), I will stand by my 4. To score 2 TDs up there against a tough defense in a big-game environment tells me his coaching of the offense is above average. jsarno 08-06-2008, 01:10 PM It's really an incomplete. But since we HAVE to pick, I'll say 3. I've said it many times before, I will wait until I see him in the regular season before I make a serious comment. I would have said a 5 for SPurrier back then, and little did I know he would be an 8 letter word in my household. Excuse me, I need to go take a Spurrier. Don't worry the Zornometer Poll™ is going to be a regular occurrence here to take the temperature of the Skins fan base. SouperMeister 08-06-2008, 01:31 PM 5 I was a leary of this hire at first, favoring Saunders as OC and Gregg Williams as head coach. Zorn has done nothing but impress me so far. He seems to have a great relationship with Jason Campbell already. His demeanor, his organizational skills, especially related to the crisper practices, have won praise from the players and are great signs. Clearly, the guy has a plan, and he knows what he's doing out there. hesscl34 08-06-2008, 01:33 PM 1.5 (.5 being for his first pre-season game) - he's never coached a team before. With every passing game I'll increase my rating, or it will remain 1.5. He has to prove himself first. |
