Giving a guy who hasn't coached a real game a confidence below or above 3 seems retarded. What do you base your confidence on? Gut feeling? A pre-season game? Confidence is earned and built over time not given cost free.
The poll is on CURRENT confidence, for what it's worth. I'll give him a retarded 4. ;)

From every report I've read and from every player statement I've heard, Zorn has this team buying into his game. He has taken a play-off level team and, from all appearances, at least kept them at the same level. The O-Line is healthy, Zorn has kept continuity in the run-game and is implementing his passing game which, basd on one preseason game, appears to be a workable scheme with the players on hand.
He has been forthright with the fans and the players.
I give him a retarded 4.

What are you basing your 3 on? Surely 3 would be a fair assessment for someone with nothing to judge on but credentials from a previous job, not his current one?
The 4 I'm giving is based on how he's handled Training Camp, interviews, media, and the 'meaningless' pre-season game. Did you notice how amped up the Vets were after the pick in the final few minutes of the 'meaningless' game? Would that have happened last season? He deserves a 4.

5. He's done nothing so far to change my giving him the benefit of the doubt. As far as I'm concerned, he's Lombardi until he proves otherwise.

4 - He appears to be a thorough, detail guy with a realistic approach to football. We shall all see how that translates to Win/ Loss column...

4 - So far, so good. The team looks organized and functioning well. I have reserved optimism.
Gotta' give JZ a 5.
Based on my "current" level of observation, he is doing everything right, AND generating excitement and respect among the players-this is BIG.
I would prefer to grade him on what he has done thus far, or currently, rather than what "may" happen later on.

5 All I have right now to judge him by is what is coming out of camp and what they did last Sunday. For a team in a new system and only a couple of weeks into training camp they looked really well coached. Thats even including the scrubs who looked better coached then the scrubs for the Colts. You should start this poll after each preseason game to see how the results change.
