Colt played well but consider a couple of things. He was playing against scrubs, he had WRs running wide freaking open. That's not going to happen against first stringers. But I did like his accuracy, when he saw a guy he hit him.
it don't get why i keep hearing people say this stuff. colt brennan is a 6th round pick. by definition, a scrub. the receivers he was playing with, were scrubs. the linement protecting him were primarily scrubs. what you'd like to see your scrub do is dominate with and against his fellow scrubs with superior scrubiness. and that's what our scrub did.
scrub scrub scrub.

People are trying to keep in perspective that he was playing against defenders who will probably not be on a team come opening day. Yes he looked good against them and I hope he looks good against 1st and 2nd stringers but just don't get over hiped on he guy just yet.

So... our scrub played well against their scrubs.
Again, nothing to get too excited about.

Ban for the thread title.
:)
Seriously though, Brennan looked solid and threaded many double and triple-teams for completions. His decision-making might need a little work but his arm looked incredible.

Brennan throws like my main man from back in the day, Bernie Kosar.
Brennan Bandwagon, here we go!!!
Yeah and I'm steering this one...Yeah it was against scrubs but if Favre and Brees had a love child he'll be it.

I was impressed. This is a lot better than what this thread would look like if he went 1 for 10 with 2 picks for 14 yards. I liked this pick on draft day. Still like it. Not to say the jury still isn't out, because it is, but what's not to like about this first impression?

But deep down, it means a little something to know that our scrubs cumped their scrubs.
Makes me all tingly where it counts.

exactly. well, not so sure i'm tingly. but you see what i'm saying. i'm far from being on the "colt brennan is the 2nd coming of christ" bandwagon, but, like marshall faulk said last night, "he can only play with the cards he's dealt" and on that night, he played them well. nothing more. nothing less.
