Not too serious but still, all these injuries are getting a little ridiculous

I dunno, these mild injuries happen to everyone in training camp. Every day, every team is going to add someone new to the list of guys in the training room. Outside of Monty and Landry, our starters have stayed off the injury report since the first day, which is exactly what we need.

Those season ending camp injuries are the ones that get ya, and since the first day, we've avoided them.

Maybe I'm holding on to the past, but the only injury news that would concern me is among the offensive line.

I'm not sure how mild I'd call this one. He sprained his knee this morning, and apparently the severity is unknown. But it can't be too mild if he needs surgery right away tomorrow. He will miss "at least" 2 to 3 weeks. This isn't good. Thankfully Fletcher is durable, but Blades is his backup and also turning into a force on special teams. Now he's most likely done for close to if not all of the rest of camp. This isn't a huge deal, but it's not minor either, IMO.

I mentioned this in the Devin Thomas injury thread- I'm not looking for someone to blame, but given the consistent rash of injuries we seem to endure all the time in recent years, I do think it would be prudent to evaluate Bubba Tyer and his staff with a fine tooth comb.

Please explain to me the association between Bubba Tyer and his staff to these injuries. Because I see no relationship whatsoever. Injuries are part of the game. Healing of these injuries is an outcome that the training staff can be evaluated on--not the prevention of injuries...

well, since our LB WAS blades, it's probably time to go out and get a veteran or two to give us what godfrey gave us... they're still available, and cheap.

Did Godfrey retire? If so, then I guess the best choice would be either Takeo Spikes or Rosevelt Colvin?

Colvin is a Texan now, but Spikes is still on the market.

I hear you, but I'm starting to feel better about the O-line. JLC and others have been saying very, very positive things about Rinehart, who can play guard and tackle. Additionally, we re-signed Fabini and he played well enough at RG last season. So, we have decent depth at both guard positions. Additionally, Kendall appears to be our backup center and, with Rinehart in the fold, we shouldn't struggle too much if Rabach goes down. Finally, Heyer can play both tackle positions. While I'm not 100% sold on Heyer ever becoming a solid starter, he does alright if a RB, FB, or TE stays in to chip his man.

The only area that really concerns me is our LB corps. We don't have any salty, backup vets at LB.
