Jason Taylor is also pretty funny. Did anyone catch his "Espy Host Audition?" For those who don't know, ESPN ran a bunch of clips where athletes "auditioned" to be the hosts of the Espys.
"Why do you think you should host the Espys?"
Taylor: "I'm just doing this to piss Parcells off"

He is also well mannered and greatly talented... The way I look at it, we gained an extra pick this year in the draft by trading down, and now we have just given it back for the services of a pro bowl caliber player (even better if he plays out his contract)
I liked Taylor's reason for not making a deal for 99. Said he respects his time in Miami and 99 belongs to the 'Phins fans/team. To me, that's just seriously good karma.
I wasn't thrilled with the move initially (thought a 2nd was a bit high for a rent a player), but I am fast becoming enamored of this guy. We'll see how it plays out.
I think it's been a while since one player brought so much excitement to the team. I'm not normally one to run out and buy a guy's jersey right off the bat but I can see myself with a #55 jersey sooner rather than later. :)

Being an old school fan from the early Seventies on, it will be good to see #55 on another impact player. Not up on all of the Redskins who have worn #55 but in the Seventies my favorite defensive player was Chris Hanburger, 9 time Pro Bowler and voted one of the 70 best Redskins of all time.
Looking forward to the Jason Taylor years.
