Yeah, I'm gonna miss that look he gets on his face everytime he thinks a defender is interfering with him and in reality he's standing there crying about it while said defender has intercepted a pass and is running down the field.

There are a lot of LBs and Safeties in the NFCE that are happy right now.

It's not my job to convince you of anything.I'm pretty sure even an honest Skins fan can admit we still have a pretty good D line without Strahan ...who did platoon last year,as for Shockey we showed what we could do once he went down and that just wasn't a one game fluke,11 straight away games.Truth be told with the lack of respect people are giving the Giants ....I can see wild card all over again. This is what I like about the Shockey deal
1) No one even knows if he'll be healthy enough to play this year
2)He hasn't finished a whole season with the Giants yet
3)He a great TE.....but.selfish and not a team player
4)He's played 7 season and health wise maybe can only play a little more.
5) penalties will go down.........
6)losing him taught the team how to be a team.

I agree you're going to have a solid DL rotation like always, but you're fooling yourself if you think Strahan's not going to be missed. He made key plays at key times, that's what cannot be replaced by a solid rotation. A lot of Giants fans are happy to be 'rid' of Shockey but again, you're fooling yourself to think that Boss is a replacement. Shockey killed the Cowboys, killed the Redskins and killed the Eagles.. He seemed to play his biggest games against the NFC East, time will tell but I think he'll be missed more than G-fans think!

Taylor has said that he will play out his 2 years. So until something changes I believe him. It's a non-issue right now to me.

Back to reality now... I'm glad that the Giants got rid of Shockey. They can say all they want that they think they are a better team without him, I think that's pure BS. They just lost one of the better TE's in the game... that's a serious downgrade talent wise to their offense. Just ask any LB in the game who he would rather cover, Shockey or Boss.

The Saints on the other hand just added a serious weapon to their offense. This is going to open things up especially for Colston. I liked the Saints to win the South before this move, now I love them.
Are you concerned at all about McAllister coming off of another knee injury and no proven #2 WR? I think they win the NFC South easily but may have some problems against strong defenses..

I think the teams made the right decisions for themselves... I dont care what anyone does except the Skins, and as long as we are winning games, thats all I care about!

I have to disagree,Shockey as an overall TE was most likely #3 his blocking is what help the Giants and I will admit Shockey has had some good games it was Tiki Barber that killed the Skins and lets not forget he did not play against the Cowgirls in the playoffs and the Eagles well the D took care of them.Look I'm not saying at some point we won't miss him but he has turned into a sour player who can't stay healthy.Yes we are better without him, kinda like TO....is he good yes ,is he a cancer yes and any team is better without him.

You make the TO analogy, what has SF or Philly done without TO? While he's a colossal pain in the ass, he's also a helluva player...

I'm glad he's out of the division, Kevin Boss doesn't scare me one bit, but we'll see what happens!

They just got their #2 receiving threat.

David Patten quietly had a pretty good year for them too.

Their running game is a concern but I think they'll have enough to win that division.

I've also been hearing that Robert Meachem is making some pretty great strides.

I'll say this, while I'm not the biggest fan in the world of the Saints receivers, don't be shocked if a rotation of Patten/Meachem/Henderson/Adrian Arrington becomes good enough for them to win a lot of games with Colston and Shockey doing their thing. This move makes a lot of sense for the Saints. They add Shockey and he basically becomes their 2nd passing option and probably the most consistent game breaker they have.

That said, I still hate his attitude. I don't think it jives with what the Saints are trying to do, but maybe Sean Payton can reign him in some.
