Remember last year we lost Samuels for the entire preseason in the first week of practice and he went to the Pro Bowl.. Let's keep the faith and a positive thought! IF this is just a mild hyperextension, this may not be a bad thing. Daniels will go into the season healthy, the missed reps won't hurt him (he knows GB's D well), and the young guys get much needed reps to improve. Yes, I'm a "glass half full" guy. Slingin Sammy 33 07-20-2008, 02:13 PM Before we go too far down the road of "we should've drafted a DE" and "see the FO screwed up again".....what if we had drafted a DE first and Moss got hurt, or (not trying to jinx us) but what if Smoot or Springs goes down, what if Landry goes down, what if Rabach goes down. The salary cap doesn't allow the luxury of keeping talented depth at all the positions you would like. In the grand scheme of things Daniels going down, even if it is for an extended period, is nowhere near as bad as the scenarios I mentioned above. That will most likely be a weak point this year, we know that. They went heavy on the offense this year, and my guess is they'll be looking d-line in the draft and FA next time.
