GTripp0012 07-19-2008, 03:44 PM Rogers won't be ready to go for training camp, and he's probably less than 50% for Week One. McIntosh might be a little tender still, but I'd bet we'll see him in the preseason. And yeah, September is going to be really, really rough on the defense. No competent depth at corner (unless Tryon establishes himself in the preseason), next to no depth at LB, and of course that doesn't even account for any injuries we might sustain in camp. Landry is going to have to be a beast back there to keep the big plays to a minimum and keep us around the division hunt through the first five (brutal) weeks. redskinsfanatic 07-19-2008, 03:48 PM hopefully we can sign a few more veteran lbs before game 1 in the meadowlands! Damn dude, does the sun ever shine where you live? GTripp0012 07-19-2008, 03:57 PM Damn dude, does the sun ever shine where you live? Not in the last three days, and since it's the midwest, that's actually pretty good for this time of year. Seriously there are a ton of things to be optimistic about: - Jason Campbell - Anthony Montgomery - Carlos' Rogers quiet breakout season last year - A rebound year for Clinton Portis (rushing wise, he was an incredible weapon in the passing game last year) - A rebound year for Marcus Washington - Laron Landry's beastlyness - Stephon Heyer and Chad Rinehart - Chris Samuels' remarkable consistency - The Tight End Situation - Shawn Springs' end of career resurgence - Fred Smoot's mouth - Younger coaches with impressive development potential - A watered down Wild Card race in the NFC - A bunch of critical matchups at FedEx this year, as opposed to on the road last year The depth in the back seven this year just isn't one of those things. Darrell_Green_28 07-19-2008, 04:53 PM I read somewheres that Rogers might be put on the PUP list . if so then i would think he wouldnt be allowed back until like week 6 or 8 .. Look under heading THIRD CORNERBACK. Training Camp Competitions to Watch (http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=36624) Daseal 07-19-2008, 05:23 PM Yeah, everyone is saying Rogers won't be ready by week 1. I think they're still not sure where he's going to be. I really think CB is an issue for this team. We have issues with our defense right now, especially at LB and CB. redskinsfanatic 07-19-2008, 11:37 PM does takeo spikes still play for the iggles?if not,he'd be a great solution at lb. Wow. Nice list seeing as how it brightened my day just that much more. Nice points.
