Nice! I almost bought a TV this past weekend but instead I got sucked into the cell phone area at Best Buy and went with a new phone/plan instead.

That's not a price cut, that's still highway robbery. I got the Panasonic TH-50PZ850U (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/panasonic-viera-th-50pz850u/4505-6482_7-32896587.html) for $2379.30 (w/free shipping) through Panasonic's employee discount program about 6 weeks ago. They're selling it for $2,243.34 right now and the lower models are even more reasonably priced. If you're in the market for a new TV and you have an employee discount program I would check to see if Pansonic is a participating merchant. You'll definitly save a boatload...plus, you can never go wrong with Panasonic :cool-smil

BTW, the PZ850U is a fantastic TV, well worth the money. Also, it's a Linux powered TV :)

And that's why I've been holding out... my friends can't believe I still have an old set, but I told them I'm waiting for the network switch to digital.

I bought my 37" Panasonic plasma right before the 2006 season for about $1800, you can now get a 50" for that price. It might be time to upgrade soon and move the 37" to my game room! :)
