They are concerned he'll suddenly change his mind again, and with the regular season so close it's a risk they don't want to take. What if Favre does come back, and just totally tanks it? It's unlikely but what if he just has a Cris Dishman-like fall? Wonder what the feeling will be then? That's the most reasonable explanation for their behavior, but it still doesn't make sense. One of our local stations is doing that 32 teams in 32 days thing and one day this week they did the bears and had one of their reporters on the show.
