If Rogers were to get injured in the preseason or is a complete disaster I think he would consider coming back. Other than those scenarios I think he's done.

Other than those scenarios I think he's done. He's done regardless. He doesn't want to do the daily grind that is required to play. The practice and the study, and the off season workouts etc. He's not coming back. Even if Rogers goes down. MTK 07-01-2008, 12:53 PM He's done regardless. He doesn't want to do the daily grind that is required to play. The practice and the study, and the off season workouts etc. He's not coming back. Even if Rogers goes down. I wouldn't be so quick to say he's definitely done. That scenario that I presented wasn't something I made up, it's a rumor that's been floated around in league circles. I think he's 99% done, but there's definitely a possibility there that he could return, as small as it may be. skinsfan_nn 07-01-2008, 01:24 PM Who really knows what Favre is going to do, except Favre...... it's anyones guess at this point. I wish he would stop all this I'm retired, but I still can play, I still have it in me, if they call me I might be tempted, etc, etc....retire or just change your mind and shut up and play! Enough of this shit already. jsarno 07-01-2008, 01:30 PM I wouldn't be so quick to say he's definitely done. I think he's 99% done, but there's definitely a possibility there that he could return, as small as it may be. I understand what you're saying. I just think that possibility exists only in the minds of hopeful people. I thought Favre was pretty insistant, and his tears were like cement to close the subject. I suppose ANYTHING is possible. Favre "could" play for another year, but until there is any actual news to make this scenario a little more possible, this is a dead issue. By even debating this, we are insulting the packers by calling them a bunch of complete idiots. The packed up his locker and sent it to him for pete's sake. This is Rogers team, and they have worked with him in the offseason to prepare. I'm not even sure the Packers would want him back to start if he did want to come back. We as fans are just in another case of not wanting to let go. skinsfan69 07-01-2008, 01:55 PM C'mon guys. I know we're in the dog days but more Farve talk??? He's not coming back. Dan Patrick is trying to stir up some non-sense but it's just stupid. Green Bay has moved on and turned the page. Paintrain 07-01-2008, 03:15 PM He's done. Let him go. I've always enjoyed watching Favre play but the whole 'will he or won't he', 'is he done, really really and for true done' saga has made me sick of him. Just go away already and the media should just let it go. Isn't there anything else they can beat into the ground? sancho2613 07-01-2008, 04:56 PM I wouln't be to upset if he comes back and I'm one of the those who believes he could be back if Rodgers go down. I know it's unlikely and I guess it could be that I don't want to let go but still I can't wait to see how Rodgers does and to see what happens with this whole "will Favre come back" thing. I would love to see him play again but then again I wouldn't want to see him as one of those guys who stuck around a little longer then he should have... Luxorreb 07-02-2008, 05:54 AM There is not really any new news that Favre is comming back, however in an effort to save face for this site I am posting an article that was released yesterday. It's about Favre's agent pushing him to return for another season. Enjoy. ProFootballTalk.com - COOK PUSHING FAVRE TO PLAY? (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/06/30/cook-pushing-favre-to-play/) Thanks Angry. This is the article that I posted in response to. Figured everyone read ProFootballTalk.com (http://www.profootballtalk.com). Great site. Shoulda included my source for speculation. Wasn't trying to create a dumbass thread, just trying to comment on current article from a fairly reputable site. SmootSmack 07-02-2008, 07:57 AM Thanks Angry. Regardless, you should have been more specific with the first post. Don't just assume everyone knows what you're referring to. |
