Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)That Guy 07-25-2008, 02:08 PM the jets? he won't win there... jdlea 07-25-2008, 02:08 PM AND, now ESPN radio reporting that BF has requested reinstatement and plans to attend Training camp with the Pack Yeah, that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll necessarily finish camp as a Packer, though. Favre to report to Packers' camp (http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d809817f1&template=with-video&confirm=true) Giantone 07-25-2008, 06:11 PM the jets? he won't win there... The best QB should be the starter right? I think the QB that gives you the best chance to win a superbowl should be the starter so let them compete...:duel: I don't understand why they're so sure of a QB who gets hurt when he plays half a game, when they have a great QB who just had such a wonderful year. I guess i'm just not too excited about having a QB who gets hurt so easily after going 16 years with the "Iron Man" Favre Cowell 07-28-2008, 01:27 AM I would love to see the Packers let him compete for his job. They had a plan laid down to move on without Favre, because they thought he was retired. Clearly they are ready to begin the post-Favre era. MTK 07-28-2008, 10:13 AM The Packers need to either cut him or trade him asap. There are rumors of the Packers holding on to him until just before the season starts and then cutting him, but that would be a PR nightmare, I can't see them doing that to him. skinsfan69 07-28-2008, 01:37 PM The Packers need to either cut him or trade him asap. At this point I think GB just needs to cut him. There is no way GB is going to get a 1st rounder for him. Farve should just show up and force GB's hand. They should just let the guy go and live with it. skinsfan69 07-28-2008, 01:43 PM I think where Ted Thompson is really making a huge mistake is he didn't go out and get a veteran to back up Rogers. Bad bad mistake. He's got 3 qb's who have never started a game. What happens if Rogers goes down in week 4 and he's out 6 weeks. Then what? firstdown 07-28-2008, 01:48 PM At this point I think GB just needs to cut him. There is no way GB is going to get a 1st rounder for him. Farve should just show up and force GB's hand. Its kind of funny they are turning him away but they then turn and are saying they also don't want to have to play against him twice a year. I was on Bretts side until I heard he called them back in March about playing this year and when GB got their jet fired up to get him he called them back and said he changed his mind. |
