No joke - JT sealed the deal on that one.
Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)onlydarksets 07-21-2008, 09:55 AM No joke - JT sealed the deal on that one. gibbsisgod 07-21-2008, 10:03 AM I agree, I like Jason, but my patience is running very thin with him. I would prefer that T.C started, he proved last year who was the better QB.After only 20 pro starts? I think you didn't have much patience to begin with. Giantone 07-21-2008, 10:49 AM Just finished watching Giants at Packers NFC Championship game. Favre looked pretty darn good (and lucky) most of the game. I think the Packers are fools to not take him back. I'd take him over Eli or Aaron Rodgers any day of the friggin week! I might have agreed with you before the playoffs last year but nope not now. jdlea 07-21-2008, 10:52 AM After only 20 pro starts? I think you didn't have much patience to begin with. Seriously...I don't understand some fans' aversion to letting a QB develop. Kalisto2010 07-21-2008, 04:48 PM After only 20 pro starts? I think you didn't have much patience to begin with. How many starts she we give him before he's deemed ineffective? 30, 40, or 50? onlydarksets 07-21-2008, 05:01 PM Two full seasons under the same offense, as the starter. MTK 07-21-2008, 05:04 PM How many starts she we give him before he's deemed ineffective? 30, 40, or 50? By the end of this season we'll have a good idea of where we stand with him. jsarno 07-22-2008, 01:45 AM maybe zorn can hire him as a quarterback coach? Well, I think the things that made Favre great, you can't teach. IE: Heart, tenacity, longevity. If you actually follow Brett, you know he makes a ton of dumb mistakes...meaning I would not really want him as a QB coach. Taking chances and throwing off his back foot were all monikers of his game that I don't want JC picking up. "Hey Jason, that last one was a sack you didn't need to take. Back in my day, we would all pop 12 vicodin pills before the game, and then right before I got drilled, I'd toss the ball in the air off my back foot in the direction of the tallest guy on my team. It worked pretty well for me, I suggest you give it a try." RJ2kWJ 07-22-2008, 11:29 PM Access Vikings: » Blog Archive » Report: Packers have Favre’s phone records (http://ww3.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=1719) Note to Brett Favre: When you are trying to be sneaky and cut yourself a deal with the Vikings, don't call Brad Childress or Darrell Bevell on the cell phone the PACKERS give you. |
