A 17-year-old South Carolina boy on an church outing was killed Saturday when he was struck by the popular "Batman the Ride" at Six Flags Over Georgia. It was the second Batman ride-related death at the Cobb County (http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/cobb/index.html?cxntlid=linkr) park.

Well, this was obviously this kid's fault for climbing over two security fences, but Danny's parks don't need anymore negative PR. What a horrific story. I feel so badly for his family.

what is wrong with people?
Six flags will get negative rep for this, when it was 100% that kid's fault. Now someone will come up with the bright idea for more security or something costing the parks a lot more money, and thus costing us more money for entertainment. Not smart.

Jesus, what's wrong with kids these days? What part of "Danger" isn't clear? It's not a video game and you don't re-spawn once you're dead.
Can't blame the park for a Darwin Award candidate.

Kids have done things like this all the time we just now hear about them with 24hr news and the internet. Those kids probably had to walk all they way around the park to go to their bus to get lunch. When heading back they said man we can just cut through there and be right at the coaster. I'll bet there is a laws suit coming after they can figure out how to blame the park. Something like they need a third fense, fense not tall enough, warning signs where to far apart, etc... Its a trgic way to loose such a young life.

Even if the family filed a lawsuit against Six Flags I doubt they would win it. The area is clearly defined, obviously if it says, Danger Do Not Enter, etc., Six Flags can't be blamed because the kids had to know they couldn't enter through there. That's just a dumb idea by those two kids, and one of them payed for it with his life.

Tragic story but I don't see this as anything that will impact 6 flags negatively.
