honestly, i do remember mentioning him (i think) in his draft season. there's a good chance he can plays teams for us, but i don't think he'll be playing too much on normal downs...

Listen carefully SmootSmack...
Tear yourself away from the computer, too much searching for arcane bits of knowledge and scraps of informations leads to impotency (or is it celibacy?).

If you know how to do it right, it takes 45 seconds tops...I'm talking about searching ;)

Stuart Schweigert (http://www.nfl.com/players/stuartschweigert/profile?id=SCH819697)
SS is a great value pickup. he's a suitable, but not great, starter. more of a tackler than a coverage guy, but he's better than doughty right now... same sort of player though (and at 26, he can give us at least 3 good years).
the fact that landry can cover the entire deep field solo means that working with a limited coverage safety really isn't a big deal at all.

The Redskins have signed rookie safety Chris Horton, the team announced on Thursday. Horton was the Redskins' seventh-round draft pick in last April's NFL Draft.
To make room for Horton on the roster, the Redskins released safety Justin Hamilton.
Horton, who played college football at UCLA under former Redskins defensive backs coach DeWayne Walker, was the 249th overall selection in the draft.
The 6-1, 216-pounder started every game the past two seasons at UCLA. He finished his college career with 238 tackles (160 solo), three sacks, four interceptions and three forced fumbles.
As a senior last year, Horton finished second on UCLA's defense with 90 tackles (64 solo). In 2006, he led the defense with 95 tackles (64 solo).
Horton grew up in New Orleans.
