FedEx Field, Maryland djnemo65 05-27-2008, 09:03 AM I like number 2 on there. JoeRedskin 05-27-2008, 09:59 AM Interesting in that FedEx is the only non-college football stadium on the list. onlydarksets 05-27-2008, 11:21 AM That will change in the next couple of years. chrisl4064 05-27-2008, 05:33 PM Most of those stadiums dont have seats they have benches. SC Skins Fan 05-29-2008, 10:34 AM It's funny, I've been in several of those stadiums, and they don't seem all that huge when you are actually inside of them (or even looking at them from the outside). They always seem to look a look bigger in the pictures than in person. onlydarksets 05-29-2008, 11:41 AM Most of those stadiums dont have seats they have benches. Good point. GMScud 05-29-2008, 11:57 AM The Swamp. Plain and simple the nastiest home field advantage I've ever witnessed. Go Gators. freddyg12 05-29-2008, 12:24 PM Architecturally, LSU's is the most interesting to me. I tend to think that stadiums exceeding 70,000 or so begin to lose their human scale & become ugly & impersonal for the fans. I've only been to fedex once, whereas I went to rfk several times. No comparison there in terms of which was the better experience. RFK was a true home field advantage, Fedex is only in the biggest games when there's something on the line. Even then, look at the empty seats early in the 3rd quarter, there are so many people that don't get back from the halftime mob til later. I think that was a factor in Gibbs' tenure as we lost so many close games. Not a huge factor, but it was at least a small factor. jsarno 05-29-2008, 12:32 PM The Swamp. Plain and simple the nastiest home field advantage I've ever witnessed. Go Gators. I have to agree there. I have not been to a plethera of stadiums, but the Swamp would be rough for any opponant. ps- I do not agree with "go gators" though. :D |
