id probably go with landry. dude is pretty beast. I hate his stupid penalties, and hope he soon realizes all he's gonna do is ensure that he's called for anything even close to a penalty for the next 5 years, but you have to admire his talent and raw athleticism.

I got to go with LaRon too. Sure he has had some stupid penalties but Sean did too at the beginning of his career. God bless Sean he was simply the best.
Behind LaRon I would say Clinton, he is a runner and a bruiser.

I dont mind the unnessary roughness calls so much as long as he gets a good hit on them.

Are you talking about LL if so I hope your kidding? If so that is a big negative in his young career a costly penalty at a crucial time in the game, sure everyone loves the big hit at the right time or anytime for that matter as long as its clean and not costing us yards.
You can not get 15 yards tacked on to the end of a play for unnecessary roughness, those are game changers plain and simple! He will hopefully mature and grow out of the dumb mistakes.
Back to thread: Andre Carter is still the most physically gifted player on the current team, without a doubt.

This is an interesting question. I agree that Landry is the obvious answer, although AC most resembles a Greek mythological character. As John Thompson said, he has muscles growing out of his muscles.
I am excited to see what Devin Thomas is able to bring to the table as well. Kiper said this year that going just on physical talent he was a top talent, the problem being that he was JUCO transfer and a one year wonder. But if we are talking purely athletic skills I think the sky is the limit for him.
I was waiting for someone to mention the unknown of Devin Thomas. That being said I think it is Landry, then portis and we will have to see about Devin thomas. I would like to see the portis v. landry footrace with devin thomas added in the mix.
Yeah LL needs to chill with the dumb penalties but at the same time that kinda comes with the territory when you have a young aggressive safety back there. A part of me likes that sort of intimidation factor.

Durant Brooks! Anyone who can be compared to Ray Guy in College has to be physically gifted.
In all seriousness though, I'd have to say Portis is the most Physically gifted player we have since the death of ST. He is one of the most physically gifted players we have ever had on offense.

A part of me doesn't want to talk about this, just for the simple fact that Sean Taylor was probably the most physically gifted player I've ever seen play the game. How many players could you say had the speed of a cornerback, the prototype build of a safety, and could hit like a linebacker? When I think about it, I feel like nobody came close to being as physically gifted as him.
If I had to answer the question though, I guess I'd say Portis. Just because of the all around ability that he has. I don't get why so many people think he isn't a good pass catcher though. He caught almost 50 balls last season.

Laron Landry ran a 4.39 at the combine. I loved Sean, but I think that Landry could be even better.
